Draw into 3.3 after just 15 minutes or so; just get the feeling it could go a fair bit lower if England fail to make a breakthrough.
-
I'm totally with James. Loving the draw lay here. Rain always seems to be in the forecast at Galle but quite often never really materialises, as the fact that there hasn't been a draw in Sri Lanka since 2014 indicates.
Galle pitches are usually decent for batting for the first couple of days, before turning square later in the match, so we may see the draw price come in further as early play progresses, but I reckon lays between 3-3.5 will pay dividends in the long run.
Whoever wins the toss is certain to bat, and I would expect their odds to tumble in quite a bit.

@sameer I’m going to have a look on Cricinfo to be positive but I was in Sri Lanka in 2018 when England last toured and won the series 3-0. From memory only 1 test went to the 5th day and that was wrapped up by lunch. I also kinda remember a fair bit of rain in Pallakelli and Colombo. Which is kinda irrelevant given both tests this time are in Galle but the Galle test was definitely over on day 4 cause I spent day 5 in Hikkaduwa I just can’t remember if it rained much but every time I’ve toured Sri Lanka there’s always been rain.
Just had a look and the last two tests haven’t been particularly high scoring and there’s only been 2 +400 first innings scores since 2015. India rattled off 600 which is huge anywhere and SL posted 400+ in easy victories over Bangladesh and the West Indies. The draw has already moved out now to 3.70 and Sunday now looks clear with a 70% chance of thunderstorms on days 3 and 5. Wish I saw that when the draw price was 3.10
-
@james-woodroffe and 1st and 2nd day are also good to bat in SL.may see draw shorten more..
-
@sameer having said that there hasn’t been a draw in Sri Lanka since 2014 the last 26 tests have all seen results and Sri Lanka have won 14 of them. Angelo Matthews and Dinesh Chandimal return to the side which will strengthen them also.
-
@sameer hey mate it looks pretty bad from day 3 onwards but first two days hot and sunny.
-
Guys SL vs ENG test draw already 3.1!!
Is forecast that bad? -
laying scorchers if anyone on here today @1.3 . get outs some 1.45 1.6 1.8 be real nice ... 20% loss taken almost as bad as it gets entering in after 5 overs
-
Fascinating final day coming up in Sydney will be interesting if the draw plummets if Pujara and Rahane get thru the first hour or till lunch.
-
After a couple of ropey days it was nice to keep things simple. Back of the 6's at 2.04 before power surge and out at 1.06 two balls before it ended.
Was strict to just reset given its still early January and plenty of time to slowly recover after letting other stuff affect my trading. Felt good.Wow they made that hard for themselves in the end.
-
far out rohit was looking forward till tmr only 1 down ha
-
Wow india's price is really shortening here. Be ready to drip lay
Or not there goes the first one -
Could not ask for better conditions to bat in a test match then day 3 of a Sydney test match. India could really set themselves up for another series victory here. As it stands they also couldn't ask for two better batsman to set themselves right up.
this post hasn't aged well.

@richard-futter great shout looked silly SP aus
-
Aussies comfortably out above 2 as expected. Looks a good batting wicket and India have a record of some very big scores at this venue.

@nathan-bennett where abouts in NZ you from? I lived in Christchurch and Auckland back in the late 90’s early 00’s
-
@james-woodroffe yeah cheers . bet for my kiwi's be rorted out of it haha that home series v england didnt count ha
-
@nathan-bennett 4 wins out of their next 6 tests or win 3 and draw 3 of the remaining 6 tests. Officially they have 2 against Oz and then 4 at home against England. If they forfeit going to Brisvegas it appears that Sydney would get the 4th test.
England would need to sweep Sri Lanka and win the series in India 3-0 to qualify.
NZ and Australia do not have any extra series coming up before then and because of Covid it now seems that it’s a % of wins as opposed to the points system. Very confusing but hope that helps. -
anyone well in tune with world test final standings etc and what happens if india aus series over all drawn ... just seen tweet suggesting gabba test in doubt india dont want to fly to brisbane .. anyway to the question if a drawn series helps india in anyway thinking current test in syd they be playing for draw now #leftfieldthinking ha
