@martin-futter I have a theory that A) it’s still dodgy hence why it’s great to trade and secondly with no crowds and a reliance on TV ratings for this year more so, that the majority of matches will be played on flat roads will be high scoring and will go down to the wire which is great for trading.

How good is trading the IPL when you don’t forget to lay the tie.
seems to happen more regularly in the IPL doesn't it! guess the teams are so well matched usually

Anyone following Bob Willis Trophy Final? Great conditions to trade the draw.
weird that they win on a draw like that!

Interesting that another team has won the toss and elected to field when the team batting first has won all but 1 of the opening IPL matches.

@rachel-murray hi Rachel, as far as I’m concerned you don’t need anything other than Cricinfo I think it’s the best hands down.
-
@james-woodroffe I was hoping for 160-170 runs but they surpassed that!
Which site do you find best for pre match info? I've always used Cricinfo but wonder if other sites are better?

Phenomenal innings by KL Rahul. No doubt RCB have the batting to chase down 207. Could be a great chase after yesterday’s fizzer.
Or not.

S**t day for cricket lovers following the death of Dean Jones. I was lucky enough to be the right age for him to be a hero and boyhood idol. Watching Australia play ODI’s in the mid 80’s to early 90’s when Deano was in his pomp was something to behold. The guy revolutionised batting in the 50 over game and the modern game owes him plenty. Crazy being a kid from a small country town in Victoria watching a dude from another small country town in Victoria dominating international attacks. 59 way to young.

Definitely....I think I've been lucky not to get caught out before. Highlights the need to check bookies rules too, was doing the Coral in-play offer as it's an easy £4 or £5 day but they settle based on the final result inc. the super over. Fortunately I was on the right side of that one - won at Coral, void at Smarkets

Thanks both, I live and learn
the good thing is it tends to be something that sticks in the memory, so you tend to make sure it doesn't happen again

@rachel-murray if I'm up big always splash a peanut on the tie
-
@rachel-murray hi! Yes always cover the tied match market if it looks close, as it's frustrating when that happens. On the positive side well done on the trading profit, you are winning that money almost every time usually
-
Morning, I'm new to the site and the forum Had a good day trading the IPL yesterday until I left it too late to get on the tied match market and lost the lot
Wonder what your advice would be re the tied match market....is it something you do on every match or do you wait to see how the game plays out?
