Looking ahead to later today, surely a lay of India must be a virtual licence to print money. Even at around 8 it looks sound. Their side has been decimated and Australia haven't lost a game at Brisbane since they were beaten by the great West Indies side of the 80s. Add the weather forecast, which looks awful for Monday and not much better for Tuesday, and I just cannot see India winning this game.

@nathan-bennett thinking they are still worth a small lay here with a debutant to come and not a huge amount of faith in Bairstow.

What a crazy day of Test cricket.... England's batsmen seem to be taking their cue from their Sri Lankan counterparts.

@nathan-bennett they get thru today with limited damage and will have the best of the conditions tomorow for batting and yep lovely way to start tho.

That was pathetic by Sri Lanka in all honesty.
@Nathan-Bennett could be right re the draw massive chance for Sibley, Crawley and Bairstow to really bury them today crazy to think this has all transpired in what 45 overs? -
something small on the draw now see if hits 9-8's . gut says can if eng openers are sound they way SRI loosing wickets seem weak

This is going to be so tough for England. I feel they really need to bowl SL out today to have a realistic chance. Batting last on this track will be very testing indeed.

Betfair have suspended the market for no apparent reason. Someone has dropped off and elbowed the suspend button I reckon.

Dom Bess coming on. Will be interesting to see if there's any turn on day one. If there is, we can pretty much discount the draw totally
