Great stuff from Babar and Fawad after lunch draw price coming in nicely again with the possibility of some weather after tea.
-
raining in Potchefstroom already.
-
@james-woodroffe in and 3 point gain on draw squared up for next play few overs after lunch
-
@nathan-bennett yeah backed draw myself mate @10 thinking the same thing but will get out at lunch as I'm not keen to get stung by the post break wicket.
Will be interesting to see the extent of Linde injury and hopefully Babar and Fawad can consolidate to lay SA. -
some start SA . no real angles yet myself maybe in a couple overs back draw till lunch see if can get some green for a head start on trading ... and the old partnership after lunch could be a SA lay

2nd test in Rawalpindi about to begin with Pakistan batting first after winning the toss. Weather is set to be good history shows its a result venue, there was a draw a couple of years back but that was more due to the fact it rained pretty much non stop than anything else.
A great week for test cricket with India v England starting tomorrow. -

Channel 4 has just secured the rights to England’s tour of India starting Thursday and Australia’s tour of South Africa has also just been postponed. It means NZ are definitely in the World Test Championship Final at Lords.
Great news hope they get more!
-
@nathan-bennett yeah mate going to be a great series and with crowds from the 2nd test will also add something.
-
@james-woodroffe well deserved NZ .. bring on india v eng

Just a quick word about the Momentum Cup being played in South Africa. The Final between the Dolphins and the Lions at Potchefstroom on Thursday. With plenty of rain around the real interest is in the Completed Match Market.
What many punters may not realise is that there's a reserve day for this game on the Friday, so it could be that the 'no' price could go close to 1.01 on the first day before some of the backers have woken up to the fact. The only fly in the ointment is that the forecast for Friday is even worse, but I would still expect a decent rise in price if the chance presents itself.
It's also worth bearing in mind that Potchefstroom is a terrible ground for drainage and an unplayable surface even after the rain has stopped, so if there is heavy rain on the Friday, 'no' would be a pretty safe bet. It certainly worked out nicely for me today with the abandonment of the second semi final.

@nathan-bennett on day 1 of the comp there were plenty of opportunities both sides trading at 1.10 in first game and looked to have potential. Then Friday and yesterday it was win toss and bowl and there was 5 matches in a row where the team batting first made less than 100 and the chasing team got the runs in a canter before the last game yesterday where the team batting first made 138 and won easily.
Definitely been tricky to gauge but 120 seems around par 130 is a great score and less than 120 not much hope.
Just what I noticed over first three days and plenty of liquidity. -
Any interest out there in this T10 comp .. Initially thought too late and not to bother . think there's plenty to make at below 1.1 range . also there's a 1 over surge for batting advantage ..
-
Runs on the board for scorchers and prices pretty much same as SP. quality bowling v quality batting , runs on the board in a final I'm having bet on scorchers and a re back if drift out to 3's+ during power play ... later on before or when sixers take the surge might green or red out and may even back sixers for that surge (often profitable) delete delete

@nathan-bennett It's amazing how often history repeats itself in Test cricket. You wouldn't think that results over 65 years could impact a current match, but they do show just how teams can dominate in home conditions. It's the same with teams chasing big fourth innings targets; punters nearly always overestimate their chances of succeeding, even though history shows us how very difficult it is to chase 300 plus in the final innings under most circumstances.
-
@richard-futter huge info cheers . Was the smallest of trades TBH just tried squeezing additional green . I should know better by now final innings laying winning teams
-
@mark-gorton yeah mate, made some great mates over the years from all over the place. India is a great place to tour.
So are Pakistan and Sri Lanka both amazing countries. -
@james-woodroffe Loved the mix of Brits, Ozzies, South Africans and Locals made a great team to look after and how else would you see so much of the country on someone else dollar. Also did a bit the other side of the border, however, not much chance to watch cricket there.
