@daniel-mills we dont need everyone commenting on here about strats, just take a look around the threads, there arent many who are consistently profiting at present. My post is from a mix of reading the threads and people asking me for help. It always interests me how some threads/strategies are so lively and such hype for it to then fold and not be popular anymore. Its all about long term not short terms trends. Its why i try to pre empt a warning on some new strats, people see a good run and fail to see the underlying stats and how that would work long term. Even historically good traders have seen downturns lately and arent posting as much. Consistency is key, even in times of adapting how you trade. I hope thats the biggest lesson i can ever show people, im not always someone who makes massive months profits, but im someone who averages a good amount and rarely have a losing month.

@darri
Have you heard from a few traders that their strategies aren't performing well then? Mine hasn't been doing as well the last 2 months, not enough to pack it in - but enough to keep an eye on what's happening elsewhere and see if it's a trend.
interesting to hear thoughts from everyone really, without de-railing your thread!

@darri
Sadly, I think some people will never know their edge. Sometimes people hit an inevitable downturn after a good run and give up on a strategy.
As you've said, it's more a question of how you handle your own behaviours rather than the strategy itself. -
No LTDs today, couple of people have now said they are following along and its now part of their trading portfolio which is great to see. In a time when other football strategies aren't performing so well im glad mine has seen good gains. Its not even been fully tweaked yet so future proofing is still ongoing. Mainly tweaking leagues is all we should need to do going forward.
Its interesting reading people talking about edges. It a fascinating topic and i think we have seen that many people had strategies that had been on purple patches but actually their long term edge just wasnt there. Some of the things i tested this year had similar patterns. Dont be fooled by randomness. Long term data trumps short term trends. Anyway nearly the end of month review and hopefully we can maintain this level of profit till end of month if not more

-
There we have it a FULL HOUSE weekend
6/6 winners, thats now 20/21 winners this month
It still amazes me even after trading for few years now just how data can predict a game that is played with emotion and luck, yet here we are able to predict trends game after gameAgain thanks for the messages! Its very nice to hear some of those compliments, some iv helped and some who just enjoy reading this Ill be continuing as ever on this blog and hopefully there is more to come
-
@darri ive followed your blog from day 1 and you helped me out privately a few times keep up the good work mate
-
When I log on I also read your blog first, itβs always a good read. You say you worry about the posts being too long but very informative. Keep it up mate

@darri I sometimes wonder what I am doing in this community as I never use a spreadsheet. I write all my investments down and depend on mental arithmetic o, when necessary, a calculator. I find you exceptional and would put you on a par with Miguel Figueres. The man who took Bet365 on.

following been a big help always have a good read always makes me reflect on my trading

LEGENDS!
