@luke-ridger I layed at 1.14 trying to pick the bottom.
Might have to admit defeat here! Well played @Luke-Ridger

Check out how i bought in chunks, not in one go. Got a feel for the market then bought up.
-
@chris-watts Have a word with yourself! You could have layed at 1.16 today. Even so, Schalke have rotated
-
@luke-ridger 1.18 > 1.14 that will do me.
-
@luke-ridger Iβm on the other side of this! Doh! Canβt see them going off much below 1.18 (might be wrong!)

City coming in

@luke-ridger Hi Luke, the plan was to trade this pre match as I thought the lay odds were far too low and it was going to creep up in my favour , in fact they come down to 1.05 at kick off so was going to hold out for the odds to get to 1.08 or 1.09 5 mins in but a goal was scored in the first minute which ruined the trade. Any advice please on pre match scalping how to know which way the odds are likely to go please?
Problem with Pre trading is not what you think will happen, it's more what you see. I wouldn't back any team at 1.2 but money does flow for these redhot faves, Ajax attract money and always have/will, although i see your method, it doesn't work when opposing favourites.
In my opinion, you need to do two things.
- Highlight the main/most popular teams fixtures weekly, this is where the money will go, nothing worse than trying to get 1k stakes through poor markets.
Highlight your Man Citys, Liverpools, Juventus, Bayern etc when they play etc. It will form part of a solid strategy.
- You need to watch these markets for a little bit, understand where there is a bias, City at home. See what the market is doing 2 days out, is that a good entry point, then think where you are in terms of exit, i enter at 1.18 where is this potentially going . It's all about having a plan, and executing.
I can't tell you exactly which teams will steam constantly, it's not possible. I can however come up with plans for some markets based on experience, get the hours behind the screen, i have over 9 years now of experience watching these markets and they change season to season.
Start with a 100 quid and just enter some markets you think look like they might move, then you will see how well you are picking them, i do this even now.
I use a floating 100 bank as a test and it's increased by 20%+ so i know my execution is pretty good.

@luke-ridger I am getting in and out @ 1.19-1.18.
-
City obvious backs at 1.18, not sure how much this moves in but a rough estimate is easy few ticks.
-
@james-everard Hi James, this isn't the inplay trading thread. All trades here are finished by the whistle.
-
Bad trade on my part with a goal in the 1st minute. I thought the odds were going to creep up pre match
-
Just layed Ajax at 1.07 seems incredible low lay odds surely should be min around 1.15 good potential profit if the back price shoots up after 5mins inplay surely be 1.15. I know Ajax are strong favourites but this seems a good potential edge any thoughts?
-
Pretty annoyed with that market, took 1.13 in the end but turned down 1.12 to let it ride.
-
@luke-ridger I am in.
