26th March.
Been up to my eyes with work lately and have not had a chance to post. After my bad day on the 7th march I have been up and down, not really getting in front but not losing either, happy enough with that. Ended up losing 8.3 points that week but bounced back with winning 5.4 last week and currently up 12.6 for the month as it stands.
My discipline is the main thing at the moment, I feel as though I am in control of what I am doing. I have not had a "gamble" in quite some time and I dont feel like it either. I think I am well on the road to becoming a trader and leaving the gambler behind. Its still a long way to go but the more I see the "green on the screen" I believe I will get there.
Normally I stay clear of the internationals but have a little success the past few nights with the lcs/ltd. I have started to have a one point liability in this strategy now rather than laying to win one point, I feel happier doing this and more comfortable in the trade.I have ditched the covering of the 1-1 in Stuarts LTD as it was causing to much agony.
I have begun scalping the unders just before ko. This is going nicely so far and have only had a couple of nervous moments in my 30 trades so far. I am backing u1.5 goals in a filter I am using for what started at 5 points and am now compounding the winnings. I back u1.5 and lay again 1 tick below to take a nice small green. 30/30 trades so far. -

Sunday 7th March.
Bad bad day at the office. All started out with a loss in Stuarts LTD with a loss in the Celtic game. I have also been covering the 1-1 in this strategy which bit me today with a 0-0. I went against the normal process of not going over 5.5 in this game. That brought up -5 points. I also laid Man Utd away against City for 2 points at ko and again when they went 0-1 down. City were looking like getting an equaliser. This brought up another red with 8 points.
This is my worst day in a long time. The thing is I dont feel as if I should be lumping on now and trying to win it back. I will take it as a red day. I am still 4 months ahead of where I want to be. The only trade I have left today is my lay of Rory in the golf to bring back 1 point. We go again tomorrow.
I know it was a losing day but...
Yes yes yes that line I just put in bold makes me so happy! Well done.
Better days to come, I literally wrote a blog post relevant to this today:

@eamonn-hogan I love this, the key for me here is that you have fallen in love with the process!
PS good shout on Rory! Come on Westwood!!

Saturday 6th March 2021
I am now up to £10 a trade (1% of my bank). I started back with £200 in August . Things are going well and my head is in a great place. First week in March I am up up 10%
Just read through my whole blog since I started and really happy with where I am now as opposed to where I was at the start. I used to be a "gambler" but now I have no desire to have a bet. I am now a trader and loving what Im doing.
I would not have got to this position without all the comments that I received in this blog helping me along the way so thankyou all for that.
Today I have 4 selections on Stuarts LTD with the Arsenal, Leipzig, Southampton and Porto games.
Nothing on my LTD in half time market today
If still 0-0 at half time in the Stuttgart and Basel games I will lay the draw and take green after a goal.
I have also laid Rory McIlroy in the golf at 4.1. He is playing poorly lately and usually has a bad saturday.
Will start to post again more regularly to maintain the focus.
Good luck to everyone else.
Stuarts LTD. I have been trading this differently than Stuart whereas I lay the draw but also back the 1-1 scoreline as an insurance. Trying this out to see what the returns are as opposed to a straight lay.
So I have 1 scratch trade and 3 winners bringing me up 1.8. I didnt trade the national league as there is no option on betfair to back the correct scoreline.
Arsenal drew 1-1 so I had the correct scoreline covered.3 trades on the LCS/LTD
Cambridge game = 1 point
Bayern game = 1 point
I had the Stuttgart game as a LTD and after the Frankfurt goal, the Stuttgart goal came before I could take the green leaving -2 points. On the unders I had 2 green trades in the Arsenal and Bayern games bringing up 0.6 points.
Lastly I have laid McIlroy to be the 3rd round leader in the golf, As usual he is not performing while Spieth and DeChambeau are, this is looking like bringing up another point to bring up over 3.2 points today.

@eamonn-hogan Glad to hear it helped mate. You seem to be flying now I think this is one of the strengths of BTC, everyone on here is always willing to help out however they can.
wouldnt say Im flying but yes I am going well at the minute, I always believed I would be profitable if I could master the discipline and I think Im 99% there with it.
I honestly wouldnt have done it without the many pieces of advice I have taken in here.
I would think as well that it will be like fitness in that to get your discipline is harder than to keep it. Once you have it there, like you have now, it is easier to keep it there than get it there in the first place. Also if ever you have a wobble, fingers crossed you dont, you know you can get back as you have already done it once.
cheers mate

@eamonn-hogan It deff looks like its doing well for you so far, fingers crossed it continues
how you getting on yourself mate?
Slow if Im honest mate, I dont seem to boom and bust but I make a little bit for a few days then lose it plus a tiny bit more so the bank is going down very very slowly. Started with £100 in June last year got £70 now. I think I'm turning a corner though, Feb was a much lower red than jan, which was lower than Dec. This month so far has been a good start.
Ive got some testing strats that are hitting 150 and 200 games now so I need to refine them a little but not 100% sure about how to do that.
Overall Im happy that Im making progress if not money Everyone in this place is so helpful I think I will get there, might just take me a while as Im a slow learner
the slow learning is obvious, being a united supporter!
You have been very helpful to me mate with your comments in this blog, I really appreciate it. What strategies are you currently working on?
Haha been one since I was 6 years old Guess that explains my school grades then
I am currently only putting min stakes on a Split Stake adapted from Ryans slightly. On Stuarts LTD. And gone back to my under 2.5 goals, looking for 10% at the start of the game.
Testing got a few going:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1zmSueEe3ecTb_rbKYoSibwA6F1wW18iycw6J2Z34aAI/edit?usp=sharing
The one that I now need to refine is the no 2HG. In the +1.5 goal market at HT I am looking to back under +1.5 goals as a set and forget. I think its got legs, just needs a bit of refinement with match selection.
Also just set a similar thing up for FHG, looks good so far but very early.
Glad I could help mate. I think your trading knowledge is way way ahead of mine but if I helped in other ways with my comments then its all good, even if you are a scum supporter

It’s a filter I have created which is working really well and a low priced lay. I want to take it to 100 trades before I say what it is, but once I get to 100 and it’s still good I will post it for all to see.@matt-wood said in My Trading diary:
@eamonn-hogan This is fantastic news Great to see you enjoying your trading
How do you find your HT LTD games? Is it from a fhg filter or you check for them manually?
