Hi Guys Im Back. I needed some time away from the forum to try and get my own ideas. I have been making some really good trades and have never went over my max loss of 4 points per trade. I am in a good place and have not had a bet in over a month.
Glad to see you back, Eamonn. Even better to hear you are doing well.
Thanks Stuart mate, something has just clicked. I can see the profits going up and I dont have the urge to put £100 on a 1.2 "cert" anymore.

@lee-woodman Any short list from you today?

Afternoon all.
A bad day yesterday for me, 2.5pts red in the end. Some bad results but sensible trades, but mostly bad choices on my part.
Fair amount of new faces on here recently. Now I am very much still a beginner at this trading lark but I am sure the experienced heads will say something similar here.
A lesson from my day yesterday:I knew I would be having a busy day in trading and in real life. Mrs' mum was 60 so there were a million zoom calls that I had to put my face into. I very stupidly attempted to trade throughout the day whilst attending the obligatory zoom calls. Add to that all the normal daily things like dog walks etc. This was far far too much when you are a learner at something and need to concentrate.
My records sheet clearly shows that I should have forgotten about trading (wouldn't dare not attending the zoom calls!) until the evening. My red trades were during the time I was in and out of the room up and down from the pc and not concentrating. The green trades, that recovered the day somewhat, were all in the evening, after the bday obligations, when I could concentrate.
Bottom line: If real life is going to get in the way it is a far better choice to just forget trading for the day. There will ALWAYS be another game on another day.
Bit of a ramble but for me as much as anyone else Dont be a muppet like I was yesterday.
Lets all get some green today

I still cant decide if trading loads of games was a bad thing yesterday! On one hand trading a lot isnt always a good idea but on the other it wasnt actually over a huge amount of time, i didnt take any stupid trades, i felt in control, still did loads of non-trading stuff so wasnt stuck to my computer, all my trades were at a decent price and were either from strong filters AND/OR with strong in-play stats. I just felt i spotted a lot of opportunities on a busy busy day for football. My losers yesterday were Goztepe, Leipzig, City, Marseille, Basel, Lech & Barca - so on another day 2 or 3 of those could easily have been winners, in fact Goztepe was ridiculous for anyone who saw it! My average lay price for the day was 2.0 so no massive losses on any trade
Anyway, i cant tell myself it was a bad day so ill sit on the fence! On a positive i managed to get a lot more practice watching games, reading stats, judging price, using patience etc so im going to take the positives from the day! Today wont be as busy at all as im out most of the day anyway
Let the profit decide is probably the long term answer! if your mind can handle it and you have an edge, the maths says keep going!

Loads of decent football to trade today! Ive got my shortlist down to 17 but it couldve been 50+ games, ive cut out some decent games just to trim it down! Ive included my list below, i wont get chance to even monitor some of these games today but at least doing the shortlist means ive done the research on them. Most of my trading will be this evening and ill probably pick up one or two more games i like the look of
All looking for late goals, generally i go for 70' onwards. Great couple of days for the shortlist, hope this continues today. Any questions just ask!
Not as good a day on these, 14 out of 17 had a post 60' but only 11 out 17 had post 70'. Not horrific really, probably wouldve been about even just flat laying at 70'. A couple of unfortunate losers in there but they happen and thats part of the game

Made some good calls today, some bad ones and some unfortunate ones! Goztepe, Marseille, Leipzig and Basel, even Lech and Barca, couldve all been winners on another day. I traded a lot of games today, perhaps too many, but in sessions so not over a huge amount of time and i dont think more than 1 or 2 wouldve been classed as bad trades. Cant decide what to make of the day to be honest, ill decide in the morning! Just about break even so no damage
Once again Switzerland rears it's ugly head. I avoided Basel but it came up on my list of potentials too. Really think it's a league to avoiud in terms of pure goals.

@alastair-todd I did trade quite a few games to be fair but my average odds was less than 2.0 for the day so whilst they were unfortunate they weren’t horrendous losses
That's the mistake I made as I was over 2. Well done anyway.

@lee-woodman That's a great effort to "just about break even" with those games - I'd love to know how you did that. i was on those games and got a proper kicking.

small red today, the odds well in our favour and if that goztepe game had actually counted we would have been in a better position(not profit). Its not just about strike rate its what that is in relation to odds and hopefully im showing you a potential alternative. By backing/laying at the odds i do i dont need a massive strike rate. Back again tomorrow to maintain the form of december. Try get a few winners before xmas

ltd newcastle (i know red card but odds not reflecting that)

Wow! Goztepa, Leipzig, Marseille and Basel really turned me over today. Not to mention Everton. Deep breath.
