@martin-futter I agree, I think its contract related - I was amazed they let Bridgewater leave with Brees likely to retire at the end of this season
don't think they had a choice, can't pay a back up 25 million a year. That's 25% of the salary cap for the 53 man roster (plus practice squad players) on 2 players!

@martin-futter There not playing Winston on Sunday, Taysom Hill is starting at QB.
Not sure I agree re Winston, he is a massive downgrade on 95% of QB's in the league
-
@martin-futter thanks Martin definitely worth a look.
Just had a look at the other divisions. With Brees being out and Taysom Hill being announced as Saints starter over Jameis Winston the Saints price at 1.45 looks short to me with the Buccs breathing down there neck although they do hold the tiebreaker over the bucs should it be a tie.
-
Seahawks 1.92+ to win their division is a value bet for me, should be 1.5 (1.66 tops). Big win for them last night but more importantly the rest of their schedule is a cake walk (if you remove the Rams). Both NY teams, Philly, Washington and the banged up 49ers. They win this div 2/3 times at least in my opinion.

If you look back cam last few seasons haven't been too good. But he has had a lost if injuries and they would have taken there toll... I think it would be hard to replace Brady but cam had a rep and high profile enough that would satisfy the fans. If it wasn't so controversial I think kapernick would have been a great addition for them. keenum would have worked in that offense
You've got to give some players time to adapt to new teams. But I agree that panthers knew what they was doing.
-
@simji maybe but I didn’t understand the Cam signing in the summer, the Panthers who aren’t exactly a good team knew what they we’re doing.
Dark Prescott who hasn’t played for a month still has more passing yards than Newton and Mayfield
-
I think the pats was hoping that a season without injury that cam might produce similar to he's best years and that might be enough as if they got to the playoffs they know how to do it there. I thought last might be his last after Brady gone but I think he might stay and try one more win if he could to say look I can do it without Brady too.
He's been a great coach to the league and what he created with the pats and dominance over the last decade and a bit surely could go down as one of the best ever if not the best.
-
@ryan-carruthers 100% agree

@chris-osborne Looks like it Chris, just look what has happened to the Pats without their main man this season, and a new coach.
Seen rumours as well probably on Twitter so make of that what you like but this might be Belichek’s last season

@alastair-todd looked good yesterday and most of the season.
Are they all in this year for one last shot whilst Rothlesburger still playing at a high level?
