@john-folan hi John, have you deleted your last few threads because they were unsuccessful? If so, that's a pity because I suspect that a system based on the parameters you set could be feasible in the long term

thanks! might start keeping a record of these 'tipsters' see who the terrible ones are in the long term and develop a strategy around that!

No trobs tomorrow. I will do fair few lays. Will stick an upper limit on them as well. I don't really like operating above 3.5 at a push I'm looking for overbet horses for value not ones the market doesn't fancy. The two larger losers drifted above that as did one or two of the winners. Still dusting the cobwebs off of these.

    yep that's a good idea I reckon

Hi guys I am a newbie to this so this maybe a simple question to you guys into horse racing.

    Back to lay
What is the best percentage from starting odds to place your lay bet with this strategy.

    Also if you

lay 10% lower what type of strike rate do you need to be in profit long term?

Lay 20% lower what type of strike rate do you need to be in profit long term?

I apologise if these type of questions have been answered a 1000 times but if I knew the answer I wouldn’t ask.

    Kind regards
    Gary

I don't really do this type of trade as i can't get the smaller percentages to work. Mainly because I try and bot stuff and the stop loss gets blasted through too often. The simple answer is if you are trading out for the same loss as profit if it goes wonky then 52% strike rate for both. 55% to be comfortable. If you aren't trading out for losses then 92% or 82% accordingly.
