@martin-futter I noticed that too. Are these number of results normal for the members profitable filters. Just that I was expecting bigger lists and more big games like the champs league. Because I thought I would try one or two of these strategies as a beginner. Only been a member for a few days, still just looking.
pretty normal for a Thursday, weekend will be stacked

@alan-steward I'm super interested in how you're setting this up. Is there an automation thread somewhere I've missed?
Hi no... Theres no thread that specifically goes to in depth trading with automation, unless I've missed it.
Top tip before you start even thinking about automation is to ensure you have a filter which delivers consistent results within a range which guarantees profit... Take the results I posted earlier from the Ryan's Split Stake filter I keep, Sept did get too close for comfort and I stopped the automation with that filter during the month. I'm sure i could go through the leagues in that month and tweak it and improve its consistency... Consistency is key with automation, you want consistent teams doing consistent things whilst maintaining value... And maintaining "Value" is key with automation... Too many favourites with consistent wins will one day yield a big loss, so maintaining the balance between value and consistency is paramount... As they say "Practice Makes Perfect" and if you can take anything away from this post it must be "What we measure we can manage" Track and record the results on your filters then you will be able to measure and manage its performance... Sorry for the waffle but hope it helps
try the betfair bot one I'll have a look for it once i've finished on the cricket

If you like twitter i have found a very good tipster who is free.
The Grey OneHe is worth a look. Usually selects one match a day which he has done detailed research into.
Defo worth following for free and see how you get on.
Downside
> He is 74 years old so wont be around for ever! This is Wayne Morgan btw

@catalin-radu iv found over the last few years that when i watch a game i get better results, there will still be games i trade from filters/strategies but my main trades LCS/LTD always work better when i trade by watching. Thats why ill probably never be able to use a bot because the edge you get from watching is too big.
-
@darri I understand that you are watching all the traded games?
-
@alan-steward I'm super interested in how you're setting this up. Is there an automation thread somewhere I've missed?
-
@daniel-cooper the leagues and comps (top leagues) i trade are either streamed on betfair or bet 365 and i have now tv to cover the cricket and premiership/championship games. If its not on tv or on a stream i dont trade them.
-
@Ryan-Carruthers Automating trades is easy so long as your filters are solid... That's all it takes... And yours keeps on giving month in month out lol
Ryans Split Stake
August 4.9pts
Sept 2.9pts
Oct TD 4.0pts -
I think Iβm getting better at match reading but I still think Iβm left kicking myself for not trusting my eyes way too often.
The Vasteras game last night was a prime example, called a LTD at half time on about 35 minutes if it stayed 1-1 till half time. Doubted myself and waited to see how the start of the second half panned out....bang 47th minute goal.
I think Iβve got the opposite of FOMO whatever that is.
-
@darri other than through Betfair or Bet365, where do you guys watch/stream the matches?
-
@ryan-carruthers im much like keith keep saying it but really there is no substitute for watching a game and then entering yourself. Match reading is too vital for 2nd half goals if your trying to maximise profits. A bot sounds like a great idea until you realise part of your edge is watching the game
-
@keith-anderson what a madness that game was! VAR overruling minutes even after they had restarted after the first goal still a wins a win
