@catalin-radu I think you might do well going through the previous challenge we had on how to use the stats software

The initial post on here might be a good place to start I think, there is some video training and it will help you.

@martin-futter yes, I've tried the meambers filters. Another question, when you are selecting a game, you have just one kind of strategy to trade? For example, Everton - Liverpool, your are looking for the market of overs, for LTD, and for the winner? Or just stick to one plan only(LTD)? Thanks

Hi guys, I'm new in trading, a beginner I could say. It's not the first time for me in this community, but I'm back after a couple of months. I want to know if you have a strategy on how you pick your games. I spend a lot of hours to see the stats, the odds and to pick the games. Is another way to pick the games? Another thing is, if you watch the games that you trading, or you just look for the stats in real time

Welcome back! Have you tried the members filters? My selections for the day are in there usually.

    Hey buddy,

    1. ELO - is a rating system for calculating the skill of a team, the higher the ELO the better, the bigger the gap between the teams the better.

    2. Stats - yes here is an initial one (https://forum.betfairtradingcommunity.com/topic/1926/stats-software-members-challenge-july-2020)

There is others if this doesnt help.

    1. Yep you are correct.

Hi. I am new to BTC and I have a few questions.

    1. What does ELO mean?
    2. Is there a video explaining how to use stats software, if so, where can I find it?
    3. When people say they are up X and Y amount of points what does it equal to percentage wise ? Is it 1% of bankroll = 1PT?

There will probably be more questions coming from me soon as I am eager to learn. Many thanks.

    I have a Q:

What sort of factors are people looking at in the in-play stats to determine how likely another goal is coming?

for instance, i've been following match stats on b365 - just interested to see if i'm not missing something!

thought anything over 3 shots on target per goal was a goer, but don't really have anything to back that up with...

Hi, I have just joined the community yesterday and wondered about the results spreadsheet for BTC strategies. Are the matches recorded based purely on the filtered results without further research, or do they take into account other factors such as in-play stats?

    Thanks

They are only filtered pre-match based on things like having something to play for etc but what you will see in the email I send out is what is recorded. So I don't take into account any inplay whatsoever on these they are recorded as set and forget.

That's very helpful, thanks for your reply

@gary-brown I've not compared it but I don't discount a game based on that, as they are drawing at 60 mins I think there is plenty of time for another if they are both going for the win!

thanks Martin. I thought that was the case with the filter. I don't want to be trading them wrong thats all as it could make a big difference.

    A quick question Martin.
For the Late goal strategy does it matter if their is a goal in the SH before 60mins?

@ian-keedwell I would say your ROI is 19%, since if a goal you lose 50% of stake.

    @ian-keedwell

    P/L/Tot stake=ROI
    100 profits on 1000 staked=10% ROI
