Podcast from 1st December 2017 - Football Scalping in Low Liquidity Markets
@martin-futter does all this advice still apply?
Do any among us predominantly scalp the football? Interested to hear from all!

@james-heathcote-0 Hi James. I came across your post about your automated pre-match scalping (2 years ago). Are you still implementing this? I would love to implement myself if you wouldn't mind sharing? does it take into account the weight of money or anything like that?
-
@Daniel-Cooper I understand what its about but haven't tried it and would love to see the guys do a video of a live scalp on 1 match so we can see how to do it.

Hi DC. Just had an interesting if inadvertent profit on what became scalping by any other name.
I'd taken a couple of small profits from Dortmund - B Munich match and at 2-2 was vaguely looking at LTD but was changing Exchanges from BF to BD - no special reason save to take advontage of 0% commission on BD.
In the course of this I had Betdaq ladder open on one laptop and Betfair site open on another and saw Draw odds Betdaq 2.94 Betfair 2.26. Forget LTD, just put on matched stakes for guaranteed 25% profit if it stayed a draw.
Bayern scored and with team and draw odds changing, I was offered cash-outs of 125% profit on Betdaq and 75% on Betfair.
A bit of scalping I must keep alert to in future. -

I have a dabble on the Under 2.5 market for the 1st 10-15 minutes, but I find if you stick Β£100 on at kick off, just for the sake of maths, and just let it run you will find it tough to make good profit, so I take out some of my risk throughout so if a goal goes in on say 9 minutes I'm losing 40-50% of my cash on say Β£30 quid rather than the full Β£100.
Don't know if this is the right or wrong way to do it, I'm certainly no expert, but that tends to work for me, also tend to look for games that are expected to be over 2.5 with good volume, whose 1st goal time average H&A scored & conceded is say greater than 25 mins.
Thinking about it now, could I ask the forum if this strategy may be better with no clear favourite, oppo type restrictions, short term form say 5 matches.
Any thoughts very much appreciated.

@james-heathcote-0 It aint sexy but it works
I automate it totally, (after a quick look at the graph).
Have a minimum volume condition, software will then kick in, so any game where fav is less than 1.9 will fire as long as the minimum volume is met on the selection, that way I can catch any game that I may not have considered in my stats filter, so can broaden my league selections to catch big games in maybe La liga 2 BL2 etc.
And a stop loss set at 2 ticks, above/below my entry point.
Just let it go on on the background till 1 minute before kick off, reckon I should do something around the hour mark when the team news hits.
I really does work like a charm.

@craig-manley That's what I'm here for!
-
Yea il try that makes more sense when u think about it haha
-
@craig-manley Maybe do less and keep stakes the same to see how you get on then gradually increase?
-
@ryan-carruthers tbh I think I over trade I get in from work and try and blast it but thinking of upping my stake but doing alot less quality over quantity is my theory
-
@craig-manley How come it isn't working buddy?
-
That's mainly what I do to limited success haha but always willing to help if I can
-
@ryan-carruthers nice one mate ill give that a try
-
@liam-willis I tend to do this Saturday's that's the best day, found that other days doesn't seem to work as well.

@daniel-cooper there is constant time erosion in every game. there must be a way this can be scalped in play without too much risk or liability? Ideally automatically using software?
eg you could pick the the under 3.5 goals market and just keep scalping it as it moves down point by point, until there is a goal? Once there is a goal you will have one back bet left in there which hopefully you will win anyway or can cash out later on for a minimal loss?
I dont know - i am new to all of this but there must be a way something like this can be setup and automated. I think its called Directional Scalping?
Have a little listen to that 2017 podcast, I think itβll give you some ideas!

@martin-futter Is this something you can help me with? do you do it in play and use time passage to help you?
I found the podcast I mentioned in the title really good, but its a 3 year old one
