sorry for being stupid here finn. I have the 50 copied and pasted all way down and also the 0.15 but how do i get the formulas to change going down.
I have it sussed but my figures are coming up for eg the 12th month for 2097.942078.
How do i get it to 2098 like yours?top of the screen there should be an option to reduce or increase decimal places, reduce all the cells you want to 2dp
-
@eamonn-hogan They should be relative so when you ctrl+c in the cell you want then ctrl+v in the cells you want to be copied into it should change automatically.
you could also try clicking on the cell you want to copy, then around the edge of the cell is the 'cursor' in the bottom right hand corner there is usually a tiny little square, left click and hold on that and drag it down to encompass all the cells you want it copied into.

@finn-kristensen Now you are just showing off
thats fantastic finn, do I need to manually enter all those formulas in to each cell?
Just the first line with formulas, the rest you can just copy down as long as you want. (CTRL + C to copy and CTRL + V to insert).
will have a try

Hi all, can any mathmaticians work out for me if i start with £200 and add £50 at the start of each month compounding 15% per month what I will have at a certain period?
Hi Eamonn
Damn it Finn, you are too fast on the spreadsheets, just beat me to it
thanks finn thats perfect, how would i do that myself?
You can pretty much see it in the sheet but there are a few simple formulas in the sheet.
The "Start" figure points at the "End" figure from the month prior - that is for Month 2, the Start figure points to the "End" figure of Month 1, etc. (except, of course, for Month 1).
The Total figure for any month is just the Start figure + the "Add" figure.
Finally, the "End" figure of the month is just the Total figure multiplied by (1+ "Growth"), i.e. 1.15 as you have a 15% growth, so for instance in Month 2 you have the Total figure of 280 which is then multiplied by 1.15 to deliver the End figure of 322. This figure, 322, becomes the Start figure for Month 3, where you then add 50 and you then do the same again.
Hope it's clear.
cheers i have the first sum set up to get me the £230. how to i automatically make the end figure to start the next line as the start figure then?

Hi Eamonn
A quick table made in Excel showing you the growth over 24 months:
MONTH START ADD TOTAL GROWTH END

Crazy that the FH O1.5 market was 4.0 at KO also. Not that I was on that but the FHG was good enough.
