Trading any other sports at the moment? I’m not going to follow as need to spend a significant amount of time mastering the football, but curious as to what else is out there!

@lee-woodman thanks mate, I'll remember this if/when it's struggling. I do want to drop some leagues already tbh ... J league 2 / Finland 2nd / Iceland 2nd already on the otential drop list so will look at my stats and see if they back that up. Cheers

@ben-dobie I did a similar thing last month with my own filter and i really focussed on it and vowed to trade it for the whole month regardless, even if i ended up 30 pts down and i wasnt going to miss a trade just because of previous results or monthly P/L. After 15 days i was about break even but i rode it out and the filter just took off in the last 2 weeks. I know id have changed something mid month previously

I looked through all my data yesterday and put the leagues into Grade A and Grade B and ran the overall results for each. Just looking at Grade A added 4 or 5% improvement on SR on the late goals. Worth a look for you. Everyone has different interpretations on good and bad leagues to trade but i just considered those which tended to have well formed markets

@lee-woodman that's the plan mate, this month is all about getting my discipline right and proving I can follow one strategy regardless of the profit.

@ben-dobie Thats a decent number of games then. Good luck with it. Even if it doesn’t generate great profit then don’t get too disheartened and remember it’s a vital step, target yourself on doing just that rather than pounds or points

@liam-willis I do prefer it that way, topping it up incrementally so a bad patch doesn’t affect you too much

@ben-dobie Thats a decent SR and I get what you’re saying about easing yourself into it. How many results have you got so far? There’s nothing wrong with splitting your stake up in that instance, as long as it’s the same filter and strategy

@lee-woodman hello mate, that's the idea I'm tracking a few others in the background, the filter seems goods for LCS @ HT,60 OR 70 .... 60 is the one I've chosen not because it was the most profitable (even though it is slightly) but because it provides a few more trades than 70 which I think will ease me into being more disciplined then I'd probably move onto 70 due to lower liability ... then look at both like you said a couple of days ago. It had an 83% strike rate last month at 60

the problem with starting out is the slow growth of the bank i think its the impatience that leads to discipline problems. one thing you could do is once you have 1 strategy that makes you consistent profit then you can invest more money into your bank once you are confident. then up your stakes according to your percentage, and your bank will grow quicker. just remember the top ups are an investment.

That is a good idea, its important to know when you are profiting consistently and not do this too soon otherwise it could be a bigger fall than the initial rise.

100% id give it 2-3 months at least to rule out a good run or variance then start to top up with small amounts

@ben-dobie Good idea to do it this month, i hope you do manage to do it. Just think, even if it takes you a couple of months to nail just one strategy then you will be a lot further along than you have been. Then you can tackle another after and let the first one tick over with less maintenance. Theres nothing wrong with collecting data on something else in the background, so long as it doesnt interfere with your focus on the first one

Out of interest, what will you be trading?

Definitely. I used to think ‘Why make £10 a month when you can make £100 a month’?
