Lovely work from RBA backed at start of match and Medvedev laid cheekily at 1.05 up a break in the 2nd closed out when he hit 1.71 after dropping the set.

There’s some great value here today I think and starting with the very generous 3.40 on RBA against Medvedev. Bautista Agut is for me one of the most underrated players on tour. Incredibly tough and I expect a real dog fight this morning. Also loving the 2.38 for Azarenka and the 2.12 on offer for Sakkari against Jo Conta.

Small lay of Tallon Griekspoor here - I have him @ 1.42 current price of 1.27.

Letting both have a serve if they hold then will lay him.

If ever there was a name to tell your kid what career your parents want for you, it must be Sandgren... Tennys Sandgren 😁

Not a good start for Sandgren. He seems to be outclassed so far.

Djoko could be worth a cheeky lay here against Sangdren. Having some shoulder issues and Tennys did take Fed to 5 in Melbourne and had match points. Still expect Djoko to win but 1.12 could go out a bit.

    Western & Southern
    19.30

    Azarenka v Cornet

I like the look of this match up, Azarenka has a very impressive H2H against Cornet, Cornet is a player with decent form but mentally she’s not the best and this lets her down but she is very strong from the baseline, is athletic and when she gets going can be consistent.

Azarenka is so clever on the tennis court, she’s a great counter player and returns serve well.

How will I play this then?

I will let them both have a serve and if they both hold I will look to back Cornet @ 2.34 I think she’s great value, I will be wanting to see Azarenka starting slowly though and doing the opposite of what I have outlined above, for Cornet I want to see her doing what I have highlighted as her strengths above.

I will aim to get out towards the end of the first set if Cornet runs away with it.

Thinking today that Diego Schwartman might be to short against Casper Rudd no pun intended and that Christian Garin presents pretty good value at 2.54 against Bedene this afternoon. As for the girls could be another day of looking to lay first set winners in the more closer match ups.

Lajovic makes it 3 so happy with that quick return.
Heather Watson up a break in the 2nd after dropping the first. Hope somebody saw and took advantage of that. I missed it.

Some tough matches in the women’s today could be a good day for laying the first set winner in quite a few.
Sakkari v Gauf in particular could be worth keeping an eye on.

Morning gents from an overcast but warm NYC.
Just having a quick look at today’s matches and I reckon that the following 3 guys are all way to short priced against opponents not getting enough love.

Felix AA starting price 1.30 against a pretty decent Basilashivi. Alex De Minaur is 1.54 against Struff and Careno Busta 1.46 against Dejan Lajovic will have a look at the women’s shortly.

I think a few strats you could do in tennis. As the market can swing quite quickly even on a few points.

I've only ever back favourite when a set down or layed favourite first set. I am finding very quickly which sports I like to trade. It's surprising too that is the ones I know a bit about but don't have emotional attachments too.
