@richard-futter that’s what I was trying to say yesterday. I was amazed that given the weather for today was always looking on the good side and it would be an ideal day for batting. Why on earth would anyone lay England at around 4.30 4.0?? I thought I was perhaps missing something and it wasn’t uncommon but the money getting matched was absurd. I guess it was just perhaps people who missed the draw lay opportunity and were perhaps freaking out a little that they wouldn’t get another chance.

@richard-futter Both England and draw price have shifted in already. its very sunny here (about 30 miles away) and the weather looks set for the day.

Hoping it'll be a good batting day today. Still a bit overcast at the moment but it's brightening nicely; if Buttler and Pope can continue their form of last night, we could see the England price and the draw price come in quite a bit. Not a day to dive in before we've seen a few overs though.

@nathan-bennett interesting day 3 as moving day might have come a day earlier than usual. Is Buttler effectively playing for his career today? A partnership would be great to push down the draw price or get Pakistan to over 2’s for a back.

@jpm yeah mate I’m more than happy to wait and wasn’t intending to lay at those odds. The opportunities will present I was just surprised I guess by the money being matched on a lay of England at those odds.

In a situation like this and it’s just a question. Do the more experienced of you guys ever lay a team at around 4 like England are now? Or is it best (I think I know the answer to this 😉) and just let things plod along now and maybe wait till the leggies come on and look at drip laying the draw again?

Or just waiting for a proper opportunity to get involved again?

I’d wait for another opportunity. Patience will be rewarded.

I only asked that previous question as I was surprised by the money getting matched when England were over 4’s to lay them.
