@eamonn-hogan well done! how have you found the discipline side of trading? that is always something that worry's me when people come from a betting background to trading
-
@eamonn-hogan Is that 40% if you trade out right after the 1st early goal?
I haven't had one yet as all trades so far have been successful. Kinda need it to happen so I can see what I might need to do.
Once I have more data would be curious to compare if you were interested as I think we run slightly different filters for game selection, I don't seem to get as many as you.Well done though you seem to be going well

I think going to the extra 1% tonight bringing my stake to 2% total and looking for the now 5% of the stake has helped. It means I’m only in the trade for 3-4 minutes 5 at the most.
11/11 trades tonight.looks like your doing really well mate. Your match selection combined with odds at the start and i guess liquidity in the market looks like you have got spot on.
Hope you are right. Certainly getting plenty of winning trades but the losing ones can make a big chunk in it. Will see how it goes
how much would you lose mate if you trade dout after the early goal?
would it be around 25% of your stake?Around 40%

Love the honest account of how things are going. Maybe if your around break even you might want to paper trade or drop the stake down to the minimum just so you can record results and see how they perform of the medium term such as 100 trades.
Yes Gary trying to be honest through it , no point kidding myself,
Although personally I lost £20 on that trade last night in the Stuttgart game I have recorded it on the spreadsheet as a £11.50 loss to keep inline with the strategy. I have actually updated my strategy from today to enter with a 2% stake rather than the 1%. I will still be trying to green up with the original 10% which will now be 5% of my stake if that makes sense.
Basically going in now with £10 trying to win the .50p meaning I only need to be in the market for 5 mins instead of the original 10. I know Im staking more for the same original green but with less time in the market meaning less risk (hopefully).5/5 so far today with these left.
Midtjylland Brondby
Arminia Bielefeld Darmstadt
Suwalki Tychy
FK Vozdovac Radnik
Real Madrid Valencia

@eamonn-hogan I've done a similar thing a few times now, with smaller stakes but when 2 go in you have to wait so long to get out of the red. I have almost always been burnt when trying this.

Yeah, i had a few other trades to do this evening but did not trade them as I had things to do and off the back of a loss decided not to go through with them if i wasnt focused on them. Tomorrow is another day. Still in the green overall for this strategy and hope that continues.
Back tomorrow. -

First game of the day produced a winning trade in the Eintract Frankfurt game however the second game @ Stuttgart produced 2 goals inside the 20 minute mark which i took a huge red on, this is the first time I have taken the big loss. My initial stake was £5 and with my strategy if a early goal goes in I then place 2% on the unders market which in this case was £10 so my stake was now £15 on the unders. My red was sitting at 12 so Instead of me taking the red of £12 I decided to stick another 1% on thus giving me £20 on the market and 4% in total. I was hoping that the extra 1% at high odds would have allowed me to get the red down. MISTAKE as the third goal soon followed
with a loss of £20 and 4%. Onwards and upwards though but the profit I made has now been wiped out. Lesson learnt not to go for the extra 1% again. Possible get out after the first goal? Time will tell. Few more trades left today. -
@eamonn-hogan Thats the way to go!

Will be watching this with interest, especially the Under 2.5 section as I'm trying something similar.
Doing well so far hope it keeps up for a long time.
Cheers mate. It’s small but steady profits at the minute.

Hey mate,
How do you pick your games?
overall goals 0-20 mins less than or equal to 25%. It throws up quite a few but I go through each one and use my own thought process and eliminate the ones i don't like -
Hey mate,

My under 2.5 strategy seems to be successful at the moment, I have tried different strategies such as over 1.5, Fhg , match odds etc and seem to be up and down however with my under 2.5 I'm currently 37/38 with a 3.5 point profit in 5 days. I used to think winning that kind of money was not enough for the amount of time that I sit at the laptop looking through different markets but after listening to both @Ryan-Carruthers and @Martin-Futter-0 I am now of the belief that 10% is a good amount to aim for over the month and when you break it down it actually sounds quite doable. Over the months this figure of 10 % will stay my goal but by compounding this figure my bank can grow pretty quick. Its all about slow and steady from me from now on.
My trades tonight were the Lugo v Zaragoza, Villareal v Mallorca, Freiburg v Hertha Berlin and Union Berlin v Paderborn.
I backed all 4 games under 2.5 and greened up for 10% of my stake to take just short of a 1/2 point profit. Good day. Now to sit back and enjoy the Barca game.
