4 matched in the 21:00 @ Tampa
-
Just got back from walking the dogs and my bot got 2 matched in each of the following;
19:00 Tampa
19:45 Will Rogers Down
20:00 Tampa-0.04pts each race (all but scratch)
-
@james-everard Two matched again at the same prices. Next one that meets the criteria not until 22.15pm at Will Rogers Downs
-
Just switched the lap top on and got in time on to ltf in the Will Rogers Downs at 19.45pm, done at two prices 1.97 and 1.72 for two horses so a small profit. The 20.00pm at Tampa Bay Downs looks ok to trade as well
-
Got matched on 2.5 stakes on the 18:00 in Tampa for just over 0.5pts green
Just off out to take the dogs for a walk will leave the bot running and catch up with you all later

@Charles-Cartwright Not me mate, I'm chomping at the bit for UK and Irish racing to come back as the previous few months I had been practicing scalping on the pre-race markets with small stakes and had just increased them before racing stopped.
Had been tempted to jump over to trade the beautiful game but I'm taking the advice of sticking to one sport to begin with.
-
@charles-cartwright Yes mate am collecting my own data for reference to see what has possibilities within the strat, catch up soon
-
@dan-erridge I noticed that as well a fair bit behind , at least the odds move quickly in play to be able to trade b2l or l2b and the ltf strategies. With the French racing no movement impossible to trade inplay.
-
The betfair delay in America has been terrible the last few nights
-
Anyone interested in the French racing , although live coverage doesn't seem possible on Betfair , I have noticed Sky sports racing on 415 has coverage of the Chatilly and also the Usa this evening ( this is on Betfair whether or not Sky will not have as longer time delay?) Thought I would let anyone, I personally don't think the French racing at the moment is something I want to trade the odds move so slowly not for me.

@charles-cartwright I will still be here Charles you wont get rid of me that easily... Am looking to add to my football portfolio and have been trying to pick your experienced mind along the way.
I also fully appreciate your stats you put up the other day, I guess only time will tell if our filtered selections will make a difference to them.
Catch you later.
Still working on how to apply those when racing comes back in the UK. It is quite a painstaking process and I still have to earn a crust but hopefully will be able to post an update soon.
Bottom line is that while I believe that course and distance will be a factor in the success of LTF strategies, I think trying to add too many filters (eg runners, prices, etc) will just overfit the data and will not be sustainable in the long run.

As a recent returning member i thought i would give you all some more info about myself, how i trade, my strengths / weaknesses etc. What i can offer to you guys and what i hope to learn / expand on from everyones areas of expertise.
So my job / life is watching horse racing - i literally live & breathe it. I have shares in horses and alongside my job as a compiler, i provide tips to a subscription service and help run a racing club.
So because of this when intially dabbling in trading it quickly became apparent that when trading pre-event i was letting my knowledge of the race and horse cloud my judgement of what the market was doing. Therefore, i decided i had to find a niche aspect of trading when i would have an edge. I decided watching the market in-play that the market wasn't aware of certain horses traits - eg. horses that would come off the bridle early but always respond to pressure. I decided that using my knowledge of how horses run / behave during races was my angle i could exploit. So i have been doing this successfully for a number of years (had break in 2019) however , due to time restraints and opportunites (only trade NH races over fences ) - i need to learn more ways of expoiting trading opportunites.
If you would like me to expand any further or have any questions feel free to contact me.
All the best
RichWelcome back Rich! Good to have another horse race trader on the forum. All of these wannabees will be off to the foootball as soon as it is back

@richard-latimer 2 races mate, my bot is set for greater than 3.9 and less than 10.5... 19:15 & 20:45 4 matched on the 19:15 & 2 matched on the 20:45

@dan-erridge Difficult one to answer that as liquidity will be totally different when the UK & Ire racing returns... Think it might take a hybrid of the straight LTF, maybe look to get 2/3 horses matched and then green up in auto with Lay odds over 2.5/3.0
Need to get my head around some numbers
How many LTF have you done so far tonight then as in terms of the required criteria nothing has actually qualified yet that I can see?
Actually that's not right. The 20:45 qualified at the death didn't it.
