@charles-cartwright Out of interest how do find the Aussie greyhounds different and harder to trade than the Uk races?

I don't find any difference! I just think dog racing is the bottom of the barrel and it is hard for me to get motivated to try to find trading angles when I really can't stand the 'sport' itself.

Having said that if the current situation doesn't change in the relatively near future I might have to modify my opinion.

I do think Aussie horse racing is terrific though. Really high quality animals, lots of excellent courses, and big purses. Have been to all 3 courses in Sydney and they all have a certain kind of 'charm'. Just don't have the tools that I have for analyzing racing there that I have in the UK plus it is all at night for me which is a downer.

Good luck to all of you trying to find some sort of way of at least keeping your trading hand in.

Must say I have basically given up. Can't use any of my usual approaches for the Aussie horse racing, dogs are desperate, and most US horse racing is basically a farce that I have avoided like the plague for the last 30 years.

@john-folan Yes mate, am certainly cautious of the fact I was in simulation mode and like you say it doesn't cost much to use nominal stakes... So as not to hack Betfair off will keep it over minimum stakes.

Am comfortable to give this strat a real go after taking the time to understand how it works ๐Ÿ‘

Just a suggestion. The simulation mode odds move differently to real ones. You might be better off doing 5-10p stakes in real mode. Bfbotmanager letโ€™s you do this. So does Bet Angel.

Read the first post on both threads.

@alan-steward Hi mate , I am trying a similar system with Greyhounds at the moment. I am just laying one dog based on a site I found that gives all the data on each track and distance and gives you the percentage of wins against each trap number. I am looking for dogs who are not the first two favourites and odds not below 4 and no higher than 8.0 and a percentage win of 7% of lower for that trap number.

@alan-steward Good results very impressive. Hopefully the system will work well on the Uk races as well when they come back( hopefully soon)

@martin-futter It's been an excellent week on Lay The Field just over 8 points green from The last race at Tampa Bay Downs Saturday night (excluding last night, I took the evening off)... Unfortunately most of these were in simulation mode but I did get 2 points from Tuesday night.

Where Fav odds are under 4.0 these went below 4.0 within 5 mins from start of race so allowed them to continue and will do so on all future stats, also I will cover any race with two horses 3.25 plus if there are two other horses under 7.0

Will now be covering all of my selections in live mode ๐Ÿ‘

Hi Alan, I have found a way of finding out if you go onto the Bet365 website scroll down the left hand side of the different sport options, near the bottom of the list you have more sports click and it has trotting races which is harness races and the events that day.

I prefer to watch the match go live for now as I'm learning a lot about the odds etc.

It seems if there are 2 horses in the 3's & 1 or 2 more below 6.5 is more likely to succeed but need more data as back up

With this theory I had 4 matched in the last race at Tampa Bay last night... Shame I'm only testing in simulation mode ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚

Some good opportunities in some of these races for dutching. Had a bit of joy with this on Aussie dogs as well this morning.
