I have Bet Angel and have set up practicing yesterday some automation just small stakes on the Greyhound market as a test. Yesterday evening I had £85 in my account and this morning down to £30.00 . Had a look and none of the two auto trades I done today met the criteria so no money went through.
So I had a look on my Betfair account statement and I have had over £50.00 taken out of my account as a charge saying " BET TXN for over 1000 per hour" . I had no idea that Betfair charged you for the amount of trades you do in a hour as it was automated put in trades every 5 seconds . So valuable lesson learnt be careful when automating your trades that you don't trigger that amount in a hour.

    Hi Jarratt

Yes mate that is the message I got. I had no idea that there was restrictions on the number of bets you could do within a hour. I watched a video on Utube from Betangel on setting up automation for greyhounds, it was tiny stakes of 10p that over a 4minute period rearming every 5 seconds max of 200. I wish they had of mentioned in the video that to be careful not to automate more than 1000 bets in a hour otherwise you will be hit with yet another charge from Betfair.
I will refine the automation so it just does 10 bets max for the event.
So, all in all, I had a f....ing dreadful weekend of trades going wrong and charges being applied. Just to confirm is it a max of 1000 bets in 1 hour under this there is no additional charges?

    yes - under 1000.

Sadly we all have to make the mistakes to learn 🙂 I think the reasoning is Betfair may think you're collecting a lot of data which they don't want you to do as they sell it for £200 a month i think!

Least you caught it early 🙂

Did you set up in Live mode or Simulation?

It would have looked like you were collecting information which they hate.

1000 bet an hour is hard to do!!! It take it you did a bet every 5 seconds to monitor the market for reviewing later?
