Must admit, I was flabbergasted that Fognini lost the first set today. That's a rarity!
He's pulled it back though and is now in a to-and-fro final set TB.

22/2
WTA Budapest
Bonaventure v Vekic
Bonaventure is on some good form at the moment and actually likes to be the dog, she has won 4 in a row when priced as the dog. Vekic is a good player but for me comes better in the second set where her service games won jumps from 59% to a massive 72%! So it looks like this will be a good game for me to trade, I have the value on Bonaventure as well. I will let them both have a serve and then look to back Bonaventure and aim to get out at the end of the first set.

WTA Budapest
Sasnovich v Martic
Martic leads the H2H 2-1, although the havenβt played in a few years. Martic is erratic yes but she has a solid game with a big serve which is one of her biggest weapons if she gets this firing today then I think she will cause a few problems. Her starting price is 2.12 which looks a bit of value for me to be honest so I will let them both serve and if they both hold I will look to back Martic.

The Wins first set loses next game stats and the 3-3 / 4-4 stats for today.

@ryan-carruthers thanks Ryan
Sorry only just seen this -
Fognini wins! Delighted. Hopefully he'll draw one of the weaker players in the second round and be quoted at odds-on again.
Trading Notes:
Fognini - Just can't serve early on in matches - it's excruciating to watch - so lay him when on serve in the first set. Trade out for a small loss if he somehow wins his serve, then rinse and repeat when he's back on serve. Eventually he will get broken. I didn't take note of his first serve % after the first set, but he'd somehow got it up to 48% once he'd levelled the match. Bit s**t that.
Bellucci - Gone at the game. I said he was 3-0 up in the second set, but it was a typo and I can't edit the post for some reason. He was actually 4-0 up and he somehow lost it 7-5. With no sign of a Fognini recovery beckoning, he must be suffering with some serious confidence issues to lose the plot in that fashion. Just a bad day at the office perhaps? Either way, his head will be up his arse for a long time to come, so worth seeing which tournament he plays in next, with a view to a lay bet.

new to tennis just watching the takahashi v ellis match would have thought it was a good match to trade up and down missed a few good entry points on this
Liquidity would be an issue for me there. Only 35k matched and it's well into the second set. I try and stick to the liquid matches, where you're less likely to get hoovered up by bots offering s**t prices in between points. Believe me, I've tried!

The Fognini Circus Show is in full effect right now, against a similarly circus-like Bellucci. Fognini (1.46 pre-match favourite) gets broken to love on his first service game. Bellucci hands it back to him by following suit on his serve. Fognini breaks again and is serving to take the first set 6-3! Gets broken. They're both currently mugging it out at 5-4. Whoever wins this set is getting laid. It's like watching a WTA match between two unknowns.
Wow. Just wow. At 0-3 down in the second set, Fognini looks ready to throw in the towel. Constant medical timeouts, cursing at the umpire for no apparent reason other than possibly blaming him for his constant inability to serve a tennis ball over the net. Cue the unexpected... Somehow Bellucci elects to don the Mug Hat and promptly spews away the set 7-5. Bellucci actually traded at 1.03 during that set. Bet the backer is in high spirits. He's now 3.15.
Not trading the final set as I just want to watch it for a laugh. I don't trust either of the mugs. I hope Fognini comes through as the tournament (and my Betfair balance) won't be the same without him.

@damon-heslop you could do that trade literally 1,000 times and that not happen!

Well that was fun. Backed Goffin after losing the first set to Dimitrov in the Rotterdam semi-final. Holds his serve, then gets smacked in the eye by the ball on Dimitrov's serve. Retires. FFS!
