@martin-futter Sadly we have been "re-building" for the last few years. This is defiantly a ride it out year but the Pats!
-
@jarratt-perkins yep us Fins fans haven't had it easy. We are tanking for Tua in the draft next year, which could lead to a bright future, we have so much cap space and so many draft picks next couple of years. It is brutal but it does make sense to do this. I'm just going to enjoy watching the NFL this year, not even that bothered if Pats win it again, as we aren't even competing! Going to follow my second team the Packers more closely this year as at least they want to win!

Bit of a crapshoot on the first day of the season but here are some what I consider value plays:
Ravens -7
Chargers -6.5
New England -5.5Ravens 49-10 looks like a winner!
Well, the season is over for me after watching that ... it's hard been a fins fan sometimes lol -

Bit of a crapshoot on the first day of the season but here are some what I consider value plays:
Ravens -7 Won 52-10
Chargers -6.5 Won 30-24 (lost handicap by 0.5pts!)
New England -5.5 Won 33-32 handicap winners and the treble won for a 2.5pt profit

@martin-futter
I like the Pats too. Combined that with Rams giving 1.5 at Carolina which is looking solid right now. Will post my picks and results as we go through the season.

New England -5.5Ravens at Dolphins: Dolphins have sold the house and some this year, they are clearly tanking for first draft pick like we have never seen before. Offensive line is terrible, they are always beaten badly by the Ravens. Ravens made the play-offs last season with a rookie QB who will surely be better this year.
Indianapolis at LA Chargers: Indy suffered a massive blow losing Andrew Luck, team morale must be pretty low. Brisset is not good enough at starter level as a QB. Chargers D is solid even without Derwin James.
Pittsburgh at New England: New England actually won the Superbowl pretty easily against the Rams and without Brady playing very well. That is not a good sign for the rest of the league. I already tipped NE to win it all at 8.8 and they are already 6.8 before playing a game! These are the best skill players Brady has had to work with in a long time and I think they win this even if he is average but solid enough as usual. Pittsburgh let their two best players go last season I think it will have some effect.
May have a bit on a treble with no handicaps at 2.54, I think this wins 50% of the time.

Shame there is no overs market on betfair for punt attempts!

I’m pumped for tonight… coincidently have the day off work tomorrow so I’m pulling an all nighter

@bob I have backed New England (obvious but still a good price considering how often they bloody win it!) be surprised if they don't make the AFC title game where they will trade much shorter.
My wildcard pick this year is the Bears, with that scary D reminiscent of the 1985 version, I think they could surprise a few.
I like the look of the Bears as well mate, I backed the Chiefs, I do think that a NE/KC championship game is nailed on again

That bears D is impressive, just need to see if they can put points on the board also. I'm intrigued by the browns this year. Not saying they will do particularly well, but made a few decent trades. Namely OBJ and Kareem Hunt. Hunt was electric for the chiefs before getting let go. So i'm excited to see how the O line performs.
I'm with you on the Pats though, as boring as it is haha. Surely will trade shorter in the business end of the season.
