Have taken NZ at 1.8 here. They were shorter than this when the game started, and now have a target to chase that won’t apply much pressure. This chase should suit Williamson I reckon, so looks value to me.
Great call Simon... especially on Williamson. Hope you backed him to score a ton!

Removed half my liability at 1.48. Going to leave this and let it run now as fairly confident in the NZ win. Got implied odds of 2.52 on NZ now. May green up if goes sub 1.1.
Greening up now. Got in and out the market a few more times with over reactions to the NZ wickets. Good session.

@paul-keighley agree, India have looked impressive so far. NZ had an easy start although that win against Bangladesh looks better and better as the tournament progresses and SA look really poor so far. Will be looking for opportunities to get NZ on side.

Cloudy day expected in Birmingham. It did rain last night, though.
The NZ odds look huge to me as they should be 4/4 if not for summer in England - SA have been awful but IIRC they never do well in England conditions anyway and the clouds will not do their quicks any favours
I'll do my usual and mop up the 1.01 and 1.02 in the runs market before heading off out then do the same in the 2nd innings when I get back - normally a bit cautious at the start in case the new ball does something but will still try and take the odds for 60-100 if available
I'm not sure India would agree that they'd be 4/4 if not for the English Summer!

Looks like the South Africa v New Zealand match will go ahead at Edgbaston today, and hopefully we might even get a close match - something sorely missing from the World Cup so far.
The Proteas have finally managed to get off the mark after being the disappointment of the competition, but I don't see them ending the Kiwis' unbeaten record.
New Zealand look a better balanced team and are superior in most departments at the moment. A price of 1.82 looks quite attractive.
The pitch is a bit of an unknown in that this is the first match at Edgbaston. But it has favoured spinners in the county championship, so Tahir could be dangerous for South Africa. Countering that, the SA middle order - so badly out of form so far - could be very vulnerable on a turning wicket.
NZ for me, but by no means a foregone conclusion.

That was hard to watch

gamble/trade the 350 run market.., cheers @Luke-Ridger delayed msg

Runlines 350/340 , for me this is a touch high on a used wicket. It did spin for Pak and it certainly did for Kuldeep so i wouldn't look at runlines yet.

Unless something very strange indeed happens, it's hard to see many trading opportunities in today's England-Afghanistan match.
I suppose a very low risk lay of England at 1.05 could pay dividends if Afghanistan take an early wicket or two, or start their batting with a flourish.
England are by no means unbeatable, as the match against Pakistan showed. But in all honesty the Afghan seamers would struggle to get into many county second elevens, and by the time their world class spinners come on the damage could already be done.
Their only hope is to bat first and somehow withstand the early barrage of Archer, Woakes and Wood, before piling on enough runs to put a little pressure on the England batting later.
The pitch is good for batting and will take spin in the second innings, but in all honesty it is a long-shot at best.
If England bat first, it's likely to be match over before a ball is bowled!

LOL - people offering odds for Banglas to get 330 - they can't even do it with a 6 off a no ball if the scores were tied
got to try haven't you! Bangla have had Windies number for a while now.

Predictor says 321.... could make for an interesting chase, although useful to note that no team has successfully chased more than 300 in the competition so far.
Blimey. Predictor got it spot on. Should have had a punt!
