I agree on the Cilic game, actually a game I will be trading too
1pm - ATP Budapest
Looking through my odds I cannot see why Cilic is the fav here? He has lost a few games against big servers recently and also his form isn't solid at all coming into this one I have him priced as the dog and by a long way the value for me is on Cuevas here.
I will let them both have a serve and if they both hold their first serves will back Cuevas. aiming to trade out if he wins the first set for profit, if I take a loss it will be because he isn't getting his game on the court, Cuevas is a clever player who plays well from the baseline - thats what I will be looking for.

Busy today, 5 lays in Budapest:
Krajinovic
Berrettini
Coric
Cilic
Basilashvili -
No lays today, but looks like all of tomorrow’s games qualify.
-
@simon Great advice, thanks mate. This is what I pay the big dollars for
-
@simon pretty much the only tennis I did today was these! Thank you
-
@col I tend to take a view on this depending on the surface, Like on a quick indoor hard, breaks are harder to come by, so if my player goes a break up, i'll remove some liability and then let the set run. On a slow clay, I tend to just take the green when a break up, because last week at Monte Carlo it just felt like there were so many brakes of serve, i didn't want to go through that rollercoaster. It works the opposite way for if my player gets broken, i'm more likely to stay in on a slow clay because theres a good chance of a break back etc.
Important thing is before the trade i make a plan of when i'm going to exit and stick to it so i know what i'm doing and don't hesitate.
Also once the trade is done, delete the game off my flashscore and don't look back at what could have been. It just causes more frustartion. -

@simon Look forward to seeing the results!
I landed on Gojowczyk & Gulbis as well today.
Didn't get a chance to trade Gojow though & while the numbers were strong for Gulbis, I'm not sure I trust his form so might sit it out. I'm also keen to play Klizan v Garin if they get to 1-1..
Disappointing result. Klizan had two break points at 2-1 and I sat on my hands. Garin comes back to hold then break to love. Took the loss.
Yeah tough to take when that happens. That’s why I often remove some liability when my player is has a break point. That way if it turns against me the red isn’t so bad and mentally for me easier to take.
Yes I can see how how that would help mentally. I'm still trying to work out what the ideal exit points are for me. Is it when my player gets some break points? When they break? Break and hold? Or end of set? This has proven tricky for me. And then if they get broken, do I red out straight away? Wait until end of the set? I'm still trying to work this out for sure.
In the meantime, Klizan has gone up a break and serving for the set.

@simon Ah no I haven't - didn't know they did one. Will definitely give it a listen. It's really mind boggling some of the performances she puts in now. You know she isn't tanking, she just doesn't have the shots to vary her game when plan A doesn't go to plan.
Sam Stosur is another unfathomable grand slam winner. I don't understand how she can shank the ball as often as she does - crazy.

And Kilzan breaks back!

@col haha yeah! I don’t know if you listen to the tennis abstract podcast (worth a listen if you don’t). They often use her as an example of an outlier who managed to win a slam.

@simon Cool, noted.
On another note, has there ever been a worse grand slamming-winning serve than Jelena Ostapenko's serve. She just does not seem to be in control of any facet of her serve from the toss onwards. Baffles me that she is a grand slam winner though it was a fair run she went on that year... -
@col Gulbis has the ability, but form is poor right now. With this system I just follow the stats blind though. Throws up some lovely ones like Balazs there, but also some bad beats. All part of system betting.
Yeah I liked the look of Klizans price too, but just sticking to my lays today.

@col cheers bud. 2 out of 2 today so far. Hopefully these get back to how they performed last summer when they were on fire.
-
@simon Well in!

Balazs Must admit did not expect that one to come in!

@col Same as Simon, I use them in per match up but not gone any deeper.
