    @peter-backhouse check out Ryan's split stake strategy, it is in the members filters and if you click edit you can see the exact criteria of it 🙂

    @Ryan-Carruthers I'm looking for 0-0 at approx. 30 mins then entering, then exiting when there's a goal.

    @martin-futter I find it amazing the reaction I get from people when I tell them I like betting/trading. They generally are worried and think I have a problem, and think I must be losing all my family’s money. The first reaction is always negative. You must get this all the time being full time.

    Hi Guys, I'm trying to create my own filter for Over 2.5 match goals, H2H in the last 5 meetings between the two teams, and also under 20% for no goals scored in the first 30 mins of the last 5 matches for both teams combined. I seem to be struggling to create the filters any help would be appreciated, thank you.

    @peter-backhouse officially trading is a form of gambling, just like the stock-market is also really a form of gambling. the reason I don't like the word is that people have negative connotations of it, thinking it is the same thing as the guy who goes in betfred everyday and throws his money on a horse because it has a name they like!

    reality is trading is a very controlled sensible form of gambling, when you do it right you realise it is a world apart from what the everyday person thinks when they hear the word 'gambling'

    @peter-backhouse

    Trading for me is following a plan, keeping control of emotions and as I have said following the plan - the plan is everything for me when trading, it gives us the rules for the trade. Entry and exit, with a stop loss and profit. If these are hit we enter the trade and the exit when we either get stop loss or profit.

    I never let my trades run to get more out of them, the markets can turn away from you quick - this is when the emotions can take over and greed kicks in.

    @peter-backhouse i think it is a form of gambling but you could say crossing the road is a bit of a gamble too. The main philosophy for me is to keep control of my emotions and always stick to my plan.

    Hi Everyone, I'm new here and to trading in general, I just wondered what peoples thoughts were on when does trading become gambling? I would say that trading is a form of gambling? Do people trade out when a certain amount of profit is available, do people let it run if they think they can get a few more ticks out of it? Be interested to hear peoples philosophy on this.

    Thank you.
