@lee-woodman Thanks Lee that makes it a lot clearer.
Total understand that point system is a great way of people showing that things are working or not working for them without letting everyone know about their personal finances with regards trading. -
@stephen-arnold Thanks Stephen that's great. At least I am slowly getting to grips with how things work and learning each day. Much appreciated your advice.

@ben-price Hi Ben I would like to say fantastic selections.
I tried them yesterday so thank you so much.I did cash out after a goal was scored. Is this something I should do?
Also I am a little confused how to work out the profit and loss using the points system.
How do you do convert profit or loss from betfair into the points system.
is their some type of calculation I need to do to convert it.@gary-brown...ben has said it is up to the individual as what to do regarding cash out , so either green up or set and forget .
here's the rules that ben posted up before https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pjLYEIypnnbmoYNAYL1jjGyeqgE9Jn_5J-Zi_UcPap4/edit?usp=sharing -
@gary-brown Yes, in effect a point is 1% of your bank
-
@lee-woodman
Thank you Lee.
so is the points a like a percentage of your bank?
So if my bank is £100 and I win £2 that day I would have made 2 points (2%).Does that sound correct?
-
@gary-brown Using points in trading rather than referring to £'s profit is a more universal way to look at it across a number of traders/systems. So if someone said they made 2 pts in a day then youd expect them to be happy with that but if they said they made £4 then that is subjective....ie its good for someone using £2 per pt, not as good for someone using £200 per pt. Likewise, if someone shared a system making £200 per month then youd have no idea if thats good or not really, they may have to use £1000 stakes in which case its not so good
I think it helps detach from the money in an everyday sense a little aswell which i think is necessary. And it probably helps people with larger stakes appear less 'boastful', not sure if thats an issue but it would be for me in that situation. Just take your overall bank and divide by 100.....thats your point price. You can then using 1/2/3 pts per trade, or whatever you choose. As your bank grows so does your point price and stake
