The Winning Edge Challenge – 3 Simple Steps
-
@Gwynn-Lewis That's really interesting. I have the same problem, being present at 10 mins so experimented with getting in at 1.51 but after an initial good start it started to dip a little.
I have stopped trading this but am still gathering results with a view to cutting some leagues or re-assessing odds ie in at 1.41 etc.
Great work re SHG too I hadn't looked at that.

@Gwynn-Lewis This is bloody brilliant work!
Well done matey! I have a lot of work to do to make sure this up and firing, have a meeting with the boys today and this is on the agenda
I like that even though you cannot follow them live you are sticking with it, this is amazing work.

Hi Ryan
I've completed and submitted my form for Month 1 and a bit (40 days to be precise) of following the FHG strategy and will email through my spreadsheet to you.
A few points:- I'm unable to follow selections live most of the time so set my entry price at pre-match price plus 20 ticks. I'm usually matched around the 15 minute mark.
- Results from 114 selections have produced 53 winners, 24 losers and 37 no entries (where goal scored pre 15 minutes). Profit is 4.332 points to level stakes, so £43.32 if it was £10 stakes. I'm only using £2 stakes for now
- I've not tweaked the criteria at all but have noted that had I entered all selections at the pre trade price my return would be 5.596 points.
- Also interesting to note that of the 24 losing bets only three had a final score of 0-0. A bet on the FT 0.5 market at HT would have generated an extra 0.813 points profit by my estimation, but I've not proofed that by placing actual bets.

@Everyone I have created a form for you guys to fill in to make this a real team activity, basically you get XP points and levels based on what information you give us and what tasks you do.
It's all very straight forward and is meant to make this a lot more fun and more as a team, there will be loads of you who are on the same strategy so it will help all of you out.
You can fill in the form here https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfeZaJFLqVDLdrd6zN79e21POuQGyR-QJYucuTY8tyLc1l_jQ/viewform?usp=header
I will get this emailed out to you regular as well.
there are prizes for the winners each month
Bear with me as I didnt use @Adam for any of this so there might be a few glitches with it which then he will have to sort.
I want feedback as well, I want this to be something you use.
-
@Nikki-HALSALL That will be really interesting to see what you have spotted and then others
-
@Nikki-HALSALL To set and forget it at 1.31 you would need 76.34% that doesn't take into account commission though.
So it's pretty close right now with 75% few tweaks you could be there.
-
@Shannon-Townsend YES!!! This is exactly what it's about!
One of the big things I am seeing people with this challenge do is not worry too much about the strategy but they are enjoying the process and thats allowed them to really get stuck in and work through it and spot other things.
Where as before people would have stopped at the first hurdle.

@Ryan Feedback for FHG Strategy
223 Matches so far with a 68.89% strike rate entering at 10 mins Ave odds 1.47
Out of interest it has a 75% strike rate if in at the start. Ave Odds 1.31
What I have been doing on the few I have chosen to trade is getting in at 1.51 - unless too much time is gone.
Things I need to work out - if I am waiting for 1.51 what minute is my cut off to not trade 12,13,14,15??
What strike rate would you need if you did a set and forget pre-match at minimum odds of 1.31
It's very early days but leagues struggling at the moment are:
English Premier League
Italy Series A
Mexico Liga Mx
Netherlands EredivisieBest Leagues all at 100%
Switzerland Super and Challenger
Qatar
Portugal Liga Portugal
Poland EkstraklasaIt does get a lot of matches so data collection is pretty quick
So far very happy

@Ryan collecting data and few points down on the split stake but what it has done is prompted me to look at a similiar split stake but from the start on my original over 1.5 value (so much higher odds) set and forget and if i start trading that instead of set and forget its looking very promising... i am thinking i like trading rather than just straight betting, feel more in control of things and forces me to look at each game in a bit more detail... after a year and a bit of experience i now feel in a better place to be trusted to actually stick to my trading rules and not bend them hoping for a goal etc... overall am feeling positive.
-
@Aaron-Franco Thats not to shabby at all, you spotted anything in the data yet? Early days I know.
-
@Nick-Terracciano all in please
-
@GREGORIOS-KARASHIALIS You mean with the split stake? To enter on 15 mins, then keep entering every 15 mins ?
-
@Gary-Calvert Sorry I jumped the gun I meant to say strategy, thats my job next week to build out the teams and leaderboards.
