***Software Requests - Create Me A Football Trading Strategy Thread***
-
Use this thread to ask for a football trading strategy to be created for you.
Answer these questions so that we can do this:
- What market do want to use your strategy on
- What trade or bet are you looking to place
- What stats criteria would you like to use for it
Once you answer these we can help!

@Martin How did I forget about that ratings page?
Perfect I have a strategy now that I will keep track of.
Whatever matches my strategy pulls up I can cross check with those ratings while keeping an eye on that newsletter.
I have downloaded the spreadsheet and not sure how it's working out the average stake and odds so will dig in. -
@John-s Hi mate the daily email are stats highlights from the day, not a strategy I created.
You can find them in the ratings page, just sort column by number to find the top matches: https://new.betfairtradingcommunity.com/ratings/
High action is explained as:
Activity Index
A rating which gives an indication of the likely pace of a match. The average shots on/off target, blocked shots and corners for each team are compared to the league averages. A positive figure indicates that the match is likely to be more active than the average match for this league. A negative figures indicates that match is likely to be less active than average. This figure will be zero if we donβt have attack-related stats for the match.

@Martin Is there a copy the strategy you use for the daily email as a base to modify.
I have started to build one but unsure what you class as a high action match or high goal expectation.
I have had some success with using the emails as a guide to finding matches I like, looking at spending more time with this and keeping a consistent set of records.
thanks. -
@Simon-Bates cheers, ill add this to my remaining match betting strategies... mainly do 2up and money back if horse finishes 2nd or 3rd on horses... was on oddsmonkey but as lost most of my bookie accounts i have let that expire to concentrate on trading...
-
@Simon-Bates don't select going in play if you want to see games after today
-
@Simon-Bates are you defo using scored in 91+ not goals in 91+?
-
@Simon-Bates it brought up loads for me but I didn't tick any boxes or add any other filters
-
@Shannon-Townsend I always use the software for picking my mug acca bets each week, it's got all the stats to look through.
I used Martins recommendation for the filter and it brought up 2 selections for the weekend.
Napoli back 1.33 on BFSB
Smarkets lay 1.42
Β£10 stake gives a 64p ql
I'd use Smarkets for the lay instead of using its own exchange against them.I love using the software for picking my weekend bets, especially after learning on here about how to find value bets and knowing what % that the probability of the bet winning is, it's got so many uses, it's there to be used so I do.
-
@Simon-Bates Thats an interesting idea, i have never really taken advantage of that offer... i love a 2up on bet365 and also use the software to look for teams that surrender leads (Everton style)
-
@Simon-Bates I think 40% is a good target btw I wouldn't want less than 40%
-
@Simon-Bates you could set up a filter with 90+ min goals
-
@Martin I still do matched betting aswell as learning trading, I often use your software to help me out when making decisions for my MB'ing.
Betfair Sportsbook is paying out on games at 90 mins regardless of any goals scored in injury time.
Could you help me in making a strategy for late goals, I just need a starting point that I can work around and tweak, thanks -
@Tony-Hastie Use the team comparison feature. Create one for +50 and a second for -50:

I want to select 2 teams with similar ELO ratings plus or minus 50. Currently I have home ELO between 1000-2000 and away ELO between 1000-2000, then manually select the close ones. Its there a way to let the software do that? Ive played around a bit trying different things but cant get it...
