    Hello all.

I have gathered some stats around greyhounds and I want to know if I have worked the returns out properly. I am sure I have but the numbers are far more than I expected.
It is a lay strategy at BSP and for ease I am looking at a £1 win per race.

    Here they are

    Races - 4230
    Winners - 4184
    Losers - 46
BSP total odds of 46 losers - 2284.5
    Returns from winners - 4184
    Payout on losses - 2238.5
    Profit - 1945.5

Is that right or am I missing something?
As you can see it as a very very high strike rate but when the losers come they are huge prices.

With lay systems I always like to work out the return based on my liability
Your average lay odds are around 49 so you're risking £48 liability per race.
With a net return after commission of £1862 that equates to around 39 points profit

@Mathew-Pennington outstanding results, if they are 100% accurate? I guess you're averaging -49ish per loss then? How many selections are you getting per month etc? Great work.

@Mathew-Pennington commission you would win £0.98 not £1, so times 4184 by 0.98 which takes about £84 off the profit. Still a nice return though!
