O/U trading no goals!
-
First I will tell you about an common trading strategi then comment about some reflection and questions regarding this trading approach.
We trade there will be no goal between 10 to 20 min mark.
We check there is 5% or less goals between 10 to 20 min mark the current season with an minimum with at least 8 games played.
Then we have in-play stats and real in-play observation with following criteria:
a) 1 point for each shot on or off target or for each corner
b) If 3 points in-play stats before 10-20 min mark no trade, match have tempo and action.
c) If below 3 points in-play stats before 10-20 min mark we trade, low tempo and little action.
d) If reaching 3 point in-play within the trade 10-20 min we exit. Now to my reflections and questions before setting up filter.
Can I set up and check the stats for 5% or less goals within 10-20 min mark with previous 20 games played and get similar estimations as in checking the current season option with at least 8 played games.
Opinions or reflection.I know that O/U 2,5 market will give higher liquidity and more selections but larger loss with unsuccessful trade then using O/U 3.5 market.
But as we have both in-play and pre-game stats in consideration we might take the extra ticks in an losing trade and go for quantity rather then quality. Not sure.
With O/U 3.5 market we can get around 1 in 3 ratio and with O/U 2.5 market we can get around
1 in 4,5 ratio to give an picture of the loses.
The win is around 10 to 12% if no drip-laying and around 8 to 9 with drip-laying and that option would reduce the overall loss ratio. What is your take on this, potential winning strategi or can we tailor it further or am I missing something or is there more and other trading angles into this approach.
Brainstorming!
Ideas check all goal timings with the criteria’s and no matter scoring during game we enter the current goal market and trade the time interval with zero or less then 5% and then use similar in-play stats observation mentioned above at the current situation.
That would be more loose approach and more opportunities and my reflection tells me more advanced, then limited and strict. -
@Patrik-Mellqvist how many wins do you need to cancel out the loss on Over/Under 2.5 and Over/Under 3.5

Thank you Martin that is an good filter.
Now how do we continue to discuss this approach, any thoughts.- Do you have any improvement or suggestions of the in-play approach?
- Do you have any suggestion using O/U 2,5 or 3,5 goal market?
- Do you have any thoughts about my Brainstorming idea?
Cheers Patrik

@Patrik-Mellqvist let's take this one question at a time so we can break it down, here is the filter you requested in your first question:
(Bare in mind as ever this will be home matches for the home team and away matches for the away team)
