Need support with one specific question about trading software?
I will purchase any trading software or Betfair Bot Manager if I can do the following settings.
When I make a list of trades to execute I want the software to log out after completing the task from my Betfair account.
The reason is that I can only be online for 23 hours and with an total amount of time limit each month.
I could log in and log out after my part-time job - but want to trade during sleeping hours with passive income.
So I can log in before sleep and then after software complete the trading task it log out from my Betfair account. If not I have to figure out doing this with daily routine and maybe go up early morning at 4 and log out.
But would like to make life a little bit more easy going.Any suggestions are welcome
Cheers

@Patrik-Mellqvist For automation I just code my own, but BFBM definitely seems to be the most popular here, I think because it's so flexible.
I use BetAngel for any manual trading or if I just want to observe the behaviour of the markets, as I find their ladder interface and charts to be the best.

@Patrik-Mellqvist I like bfbotmanager

Hello Adam and Martin! Which programs would you recommend that provide the best value for money and user-friendliness? By that, I mean the simplicity of programming and finding information and templates for how to get an automated execution running. My instinct tells me that Betfair Bot Manager is superior, but I have also looked at Fairbot and the slightly more expensive Betangle. What do you think would be best? I believe the last two mentioned also contain other trading tools compared to Betfair Bot Manager. All recommendations are welcome. Thanks for your time.

@Patrik-Mellqvist I ran my bots from my home connection for many years.
Without fail, the time I would have issues was always the most inconvenient time - BSODs when I went on holiday and couldn't physically access the PC, etc. I had to get my neighbour to go round and reboot my PC many times.
In the end I got sick of it and just went with a VPS.
I guess I'm just saying to make sure you think about potential hidden costs of relying on your general purpose computer on a home connection, and not just the fact that you can avoid paying for some hosting.

@Patrik-Mellqvist yeah and that's fair enough, ultimately it will come down to whether or not the expense is worth it to you.

Hello Martin, and thank you for taking the time. What I am going to do now is to raise the level of my expression and make myself understood. I think like this: if you work three hours a day and are away from home for a total of four hours, it might be better to just leave the computer on during those hours if you need to run trading while you're at work. At night, you can start something like Fairbot before you go to bed and then log out when you get up, and you can control when you choose to sleep and get up.
Additionally, I think it’s important to keep costs down, which I believe is crucial before making your first million. And after that, it's even more important when you have to pay a 40% commission with premium charge, if that's the case. Furthermore, if you’re going out to eat or on a date, you can just start the computer, log in, and set everything up, then turn it off when you get home. The advantage of VPS is that I can turn off and control everything from anywhere whenever I want. But in my case, since I'm only away from home for four hours a day, I might manage without it.

@Patrik-Mellqvist people use to VPS so they do not need to keep their PC on all day if that helps.
@John-Folan which one do you recommend?
