Hi there,
Sorry that I have not been on the forum for a while, I have been working on and testing some set and forget strategies.
Hope the sheet can be of some use, and maybe give people some ideas, any feedback would be great.
Thanks,
Kind Regards Vinny -

@Tony-Hastie wow.... i wish i knew how to use betangel? i had the option to cash put of leeds v leiscter, but i was greedy...... i gad the dutching with 0-1 and 2-1.... they offered me £70 with a minute to go and i could of won £160...... what would of you done?
i would have taken it personally
so many times i been shafted in last 5 minutes of a match
Green for profit Greed for bust

@GREGORIOS-KARASHIALIS I would have taken the £70! With my practice stakes I dont even get close to that

@GREGORIOS-KARASHIALIS I've recently worked out how to put 10p on danger scores with bet angel. Like the game last night I thought Arsenal would win by a goal or 2 so lumped most my stake on 0-1 0-2 and 1-2. But had 0-0 and 1-0 covered with a 10p stake....which was just as well

@Tony-Hastie on the level, i love Dutching.... but i always add to many scores to cover myself

@Stephen-Knowles It is a good measurement, its another stat that can be used. ELO has its own section on the dashboard as "Football Ratings". Since my last tweak of the Back ELO Away strategy, I have 619 selections from 13th April last year, so there would be more than that as I have taken leagues out, and odds range filtered. There are a lot of selections.

So is the ELO rating basically a meassurement of quality of a team?
Yep exactly. Each league basically has a pool of points and each time a team wins, they take points off the other team. So it's a good zero-sum performance tracker over time.
It was originally devised for chess (by Arpad Elo). We created a modified version to work for football, to account for draws, promotions / relegations, home advantage etc in the scoring

So is the ELO rating basically a meassurement of quality of a team? I hadn't heard of it before reading your thread! How many selections is the ELO back away filter giving you? TIA Steve
-
@Arran-Shackell That sounds like a good idea Arran. I think that I will look into that, thanks.
-
Have you ever thought about a later entry on over 2.5 goals depending on the goal time? You will get a few more ticks!
-
@Stephen-Knowles Thank you Stephen, It takes time and I am still nowhere near where I want to be, but slow and steady wins the race in the end, (I hope anyway). Good luck with your journey.

I'm new to this, very interesting strategies I particularly like the idea of the back away strategy, feels like a solid setup

@Tony-Hastie, Hi. Since I have starting testing the Dutching, there has only been 94 selections since the start of May, which averages about 15 per month. It isn't great because that is without any tweaking.
-
@Vince-Kavanagh Have you been getting many selections with your dutching the correct score filter? Its a market Im really interested in but finding tough to crack.
-
@Vince-Kavanagh fantastic thanks for sharing!
