Betfair Cashout

New to the game at the moment and learning how Betfair works. So was wondering how the cashout option effects a set & forget strategy. I asumme if you put on a lay bet and the person who maches the bet cashs out in play for a green or a red that would end the trade. So for example: you lay over 2.5 goals in a game, 2 quick goals are scored and the person who matched your lay bet cashs out in the green you would take the smaller loss even if no more goals were scored in the game and your trade would have come in. Thank you in advance for the answers I will get about this.

@Stewart-Oborne no Betfair would use the money currently offered in the market for cashout, your bet would still be live and you would not have cashed out, only you could orchestrate that. Thanks
