Thats not unexpected. It uses favourite. The software will ALWAYS use the horse thats 3rd favourite at BSP. You are betting on the horse thats 3rd favourite 10 seconds out. The chances of these being the same are no better than 50%. Horses in 2nd, 3rd, 4th bounce around and will swap places several times between 10 seconds before official time and actual race start.
This will mean you will get different horse and actually get more horse as 3rd place changes. What you are seeing looks perfectly explainable to me which is why i dont run anything with favourite anymore because its not a backtested strategy, its just a punt.

Just checked what the software says for Lay 3rd Fav against my BFBM bets for Carlisle yesterday.
The software is saying the trades should have been
14:05 Chief Craftsman
16:20 Detective
16:55 The CaltonianMy Bot placed trades on
14:05 Owens Lad
16:20 Red Mirage
16:55 The CaltonianAs well as
14:40 Suicide Blonde
15:15 HappierI'm just going to pause this until I can figure out whats wrong. I'm going to start by deleting strategies from the Bot and the software and then reload them from the forum.

Strategy and BOT are downloaded from here and selections loaded from URL - so I'm not quite sure why we have different selections if I'm honest. Been busy with work and getting ready for my holiday so havent really had chance to delve very deep into whats happening, but I intend to over the next couple of days,

@alexander-hughes Thanks for the offer but I'm afraid not. I was using my free trial on bot manager, which expired today. Mustering my strength to cough up for it but the trial hasn't exactly filled me with confidence

My BFBM Strategies have managed to place bets on Owens Lad (14.05 Carlisle) both for the Bet The Fav at the Off and Lay 3rd Fav. There were 5 secs difference between the bets being placed. Swings and roundabouts I suppose as by SP Owens Lad ended up 2nd Fav

@Jonathan-West Any chance you can download 3rd fav to a spreadsheet ?
I can then run a join in power query to look for mismatches.
I suspect your bot is using the horse from the software rather than the race and letting the live 3rd fav be picked by your automation software though.

How are people finding the Irish DOB bot is working? There appears to have been 4 trades recorded on the software yesterday but my bot didn’t place any. Probably need to review my bot

@Jonathan-West yeah back to lay dobs needs forward testing as only created end of July so expect some ups and downs, Irish dobs seems the better one at present they share a lot of same dna

Like I say, these two bots were from the thread, with the selections imported via the URL. I've paused these two now but would like reinstate if anyone can help clarify any issues. cheers

@Alexander-Vincent it's the third fav changing rule that is the issue, @Adam is working on adding this in currently it won't be long before it does.
