@Nathan-Bennett Not quite a dead rubber as England can still square the series, even though they obviously can't regain the Ashes. From what I've seen, I would say they're far from downhearted and will be eager to go out with a bang. For me it's another 50/50 call, so a back around 2.4 is sound value. I'll be very surprised if they don't trade odds on at some stage of the match.

    ENG W v AUS W
    Dead rubber
Interesting this from the outlook as normally with AUS having locked away the main prize i'd normally be in the ENG camp however ENG could easily be deflated from the ashes being out of reach
Think my first move is too watch out for partnerships and go against any dominate fav in the first INNS for a swing and try and make a buck

@Richard-Futter Yes agree. The one i have the biggest disappointment about is The 100.
Initially i was quite excited about it thinking that i'd rather see Rabada bowl to Stokes than Cobb to Stevens, but the reverse has happened in that its become B list English players with C list overseas.
T20 as you say is hard to trade, and i tend not to get involved - thats why my Pre Toss Bot strategy is important to me, in that if i can get a 40 pound profit before the game has started then that will do me for each game , and then i leave it alone.

@Stuart-Wallace Yep. The IPL is taking over world cricket. Personally, I find T20 the least appealing form of the game; instantly forgettable and difficult to trade effectively.

    Nathan,
I've not looked up the US cricket leagues, whats the liquidity like? what time of day is it on?

Just noticed there is a lot of top players (white ball) playing in it including all the top SA players, and that it has already started, and also that the teams seem to have Indian team names - so, India muscling its way in again.

I know there's thunderstorms around in Galle on all five days of the Test match there, but that's not unusual for this part of the world and ground staff are amazingly efficient in covering the whole of the playing area. Play usually gets back underway very quickly indeed, as we saw yesterday.

So, to me, the current draw price of 3 in the first Test between Sri Lanka and Pakistan looks very layable indeed.

After all, the last 21 matches here have all ended in positive results, with wickets tumbling very quickly towards the ends of matches.

I suppose there is a decent chance the price could drop even further in the next day or so, but anything around 3 is a massive opportunity I reckon.

@Stuart-Wallace unfortunately as predicted the signal was terrible at the Ageas. No chance of any trading or messaging I'm afraid.

However, we said at the time that the last over from Lauren Bell might cost us, and so it did. 26 off the last and lost by 3... gutted.

Im watching the womans game and cant work out why Auz has had 2 established partnerships now yet drifted in price rather than shortened. Is this the English bias in the market Ive seem mentioned?

OK, interesting... with the ODI (ENG W v AUS W), both Stop Losses got invoked very quickly after the Toss (which ENG won), but then noticed that the swing happened some 2 minutes after , ENG went from 2.44 to 2.36 and AUS went from 1.7 to 1.8. In the end resulting in a 5 per cent loss .
So, what happened is what i was expecting , although it happened a couple of mins later than i expected - something to ponder on, maybe its to do with the TV lag in India or something?.
So, to recap, ENG won toss and gained 8 ticks, and AUS drifted 10 ticks- exactly what i am looking for , but I had my SL set for 2 ticks on both sides, and both drifted around to invoke both SLs before the Toss info had been digested.
So, am going to extend the SL from 2 ticks to 4, and the offset from 6 to 8. That way, the SL shouldnt get invoked so quickly, and then catch the swing when it does happen.

Onwards and upwards, SL and Offset both adjusted ready for BAN v AFG (20 over) at 13.00.
EDIT: BAN won the Toss and BAN went from 1.84 to 1.79 when SL kicked in
AFG went from 2.2 to 2.36 when the offset kicked in
So, a Net gain of approx 2 per cent.

Clearly needs refining, but a promising opening weekend for the strategy .
If enough liquidity then a 1000 pound Lay with average gains of, say, 4 per cent would garner a 40 pounds (approx) profit before the game has even started.
