    @Greg-Mitchell Much appreciated. No rush at all, whenever you can 😊
    Oh no, I know the feeling, just had to replace one of ours a few weeks back.

    @Sean @james-everard

    Hi both, I am happy to share the bots for BFBM, also will get you the spreadsheet done, just had an awful week, from being a 4 car family, we now have one that is fit to drive, spent most of the week on my back underneath them, need a beer!

    @Greg-Mitchell said in Lay The Beaten Favourite - Greyhounds:

    @james-everard

    This is my most profitable British Greyhounds one, results logged since 24th April.

    cb20e1d7-c665-4bc5-b0ac-3c1bc99b1aa1-image.png

    Maximum odds of 6 for the above.

    Other with decent profits are:

    Townsville (AUS) - 380m - Back Traps 3,4,5 and 7 if odds are 12 or less, minimum 6 runners - showing an overall profitable race strike rate of 46%
    Wentworth Park (AUS) - 520m - Back Trap 1, Lay Trap 4, if odds between 2 and 12, minimum 6 runners - showing an overall profitable race strike rate of 54%

    @Greg-Mitchell Hey just saw this thread. Would you still be willing to share the bots you have for these strategies? I'm really interested in how you built them to cover so many different scenarios in the race. Might give me some inspiration on how to make some of my owns horse bots better.

    @james-everard I used the free version of Betfair data, had to get some script written to extract it into Excel and then analysed it, quite a massive spreadsheet.

    @Greg-Mitchell HI Greg , Sounds like i need to change software providers then , it is probably cheaper than Bet Angel as well i would have thought.
    How did you analyse the data for the 3 years did you pay for the data records with Betfair or manually record the odds , something i would like to get start to do and find some strategies that way . Do you have a spreadsheet you then analyse the results to breakdown the data ?

    @james-everard I was in the same position as you with Bet Angel, came on here, switched to BFBM, not looked back.

    I started off analysing every track, every distance and every grade over the last 3 years (2020, 2021 and 2022), whittled it down to strategies that would of been profitable, which left me with around 150 strategies. Set them all up on BFBM and have been deleting them as I go along if they are not profitable after 40 or 50 races. Currently have 91 active strategies, of which Crayford has 3 different ones, although there have been very few selections on two of them and the third is more than likely about to go in the bin.

    @Greg-Mitchell Hi Greg cheers for the confirmation . Thanks for the offer on the copy but i have betangel but i think the subscription must be running out soon so may change the software i hear others on here have mentioned BFBM, is it a simple software to use as i find Betangel a bit overwhelming for me and don't use the automation side at all.

    I tried interacting once on the Betangel forum to see if anyone was wanting to learn and share strategies and they were not engaging at all nothing like this gem of a place. No big heads and everyone wanting to help and share thoughts and ideas

    Have you just been testing any other tracks in the Uk or is that enough at the moment? I remember watching rgptv and on won show on of the blokes on the show mentioned Crayford in low grade races not to bet on the favourite not sure what grade or Distance though!

    @james-everard That sounds spot on. Although technically you could also Back Trap 1 and 5 if they were joint favourites and Back Trap 4 and Lay Trap 6 if they were all 6 or under. This has only happened once in the 336 races that I have used.

    Oh yes and one further condition I forgot to mention, there must be 6 runners, so a full field for Monmore. On the Australian ones, between 6 and 8 runners.

    Yes I have all my Greyhound strategies automated in BFBM and just let them run. If you want a copy, just let me know.

    @Greg-Mitchell Thanks for sharing your strategy looks like you have spent some time going through the data .
    Sorry to have another question but on the Monmore one trying to get my thicko head around it lol, options would be

    Back trap 1 if the favourite and then also 4( if it wasn't the favourite)and lay trap 6 ( if all 3 were under 6.0 odds)
    Back tray 5 if the favourite and then also 4 if no the favourite and lay trap 6 ( if all 3 were under 6.0 odds)
    Back trap 4 if not the favourite and lay trap 6 if both odds are under 6.0

    Finally do you use software to trade these or do it manually mate?

    @Gary-Wall I am using real money, and yes I do back against myself.

    Worst case scenario, Traps, 1, 4, 5 and 6 are all odds of 6 or less and Trap 6 wins, would be an £8 loss. Thats never happened, 95% of races only have one or two selections.

    Best case scenario, Trap (1 or 4 or 5) and 6 are all odds of 6 or less and Trap 1, 4 or 5 wins at odds of 6. Thats £6 profit.

    @Greg-Mitchell Thanks Greg, now i understand, are you using real money, i thought this was testing only, otherwise you could be backing against yourself in certain races, eg Back trap 1 as he is the fav and back trap 4 as he is not fav

    @Gary-Wall I use a % of Bank specific to the strategy, so started with £100, stakes at 1%, so they increase as I make more money.

    @Gary-Wall So, I don't bet on anything with odds over 6, so:

    Back Traps 1 and 5 if its the Favourite and odds are 6 or less
    Back Trap 4 if its not the Favourite and the odds are 6 or less
    Lay Trap 6 if its not the Favourite and the odds are 6 or less

    @Greg-Mitchell Hi Greg, not sure i understand your chart, if you back trap 4 always and lay trap 6 always, why are the total bets for each different. Sorry if i have missed something obvious
