Changing the subject, Scotland posting a score in the World Cup Qualifier. A Scotland win will book them a spot in the world cup.
They're 1.3 to back, which is too short for me, however the highest total the Netherlands have managed at this ground in this tournament, including warmups, is 214. They chased Irelands 193 in just 37 overs but did lose 8 wickets in the process.
If Ned get off to a strong powerplay and come in to any kind of price I'll be looking to lay.
Caveat: if Scotland collapse for less than 250 i may change my mind.

As always don't really expect fast moving markets till 2nd INNS onwards
With AUS batting gees would love couple quick poles to then back to lay the draw -
Australia put into bat. Pitch is quite green but the overhead conditions are better for batting than expected. If the Aussies can get through the first few overs there could be runs to be had on a rock hard pitch, and they could have the England batting dodging the showers on Saturday. First hour today could be crucial.

Good morning traders! How are we all?
Disappointing team announcements as I've never been a fan of Woakes, Wood will fall over more times than he'll take wickets, and why aren't we giving Rehan Ahmed the ball?
Anyway, weather could be a factor in this one and England can't afford a draw... the Aussies will probably bat slowly to bring the draw into play and secure retention.
Let's see!
-
Looks like an overcast day at Headingley, so my best guess is that bowling first will be the order of the day, and if England are inserted it could be the ideal time to lay the draw because the top of the order does have a fragile and devil-may-care look to it and anything around 4.5 would look good value.
It would only be a short term thing for me though, as with the England tail bolstered by call ups for Woakes and Wood, I expect this line-up to be more resilient in the late order, and punters may also have an eye for the weather forecast for Saturday, which looks pretty dismal to say the least.
Headingley isn't quite the seamers' paradise it was in days of yore, but nothing other than a victory will do for Stokes and the boys. Not since the days when Don Bradman was carving up the English bowling has an Ashes team come back from 2-0 down to win the series. How fitting it would be if England could make the Aussies pay for their unsporting behaviour at Lord's. Has to be a massive longshot though.

@Joe-Beeston Where's Dom Sibley when you need him? lol.
-
Whatever happens toss
Believe Eng best chances are to chase
Farrr
Hope they win keep mass fire in the series alive -
@Joe-Beeston thats the team. decision to drop Tongue, for donkey Woakes, is puzzling especially as Tongue was pick of bowlers at Lords.
-
@Joe-Beeston ..have to agree, sadly Anderson is starting to struggle and I am not a fan of Robinson, think Woakes is the natural like for like swap for Anderson and would love to see a fully fit Wood playing. We are a bit toothless in the spin department, think they got it wrong bringing back Ali, I would have asked Rashid if they were going down that alley. I would love them to give a chance to a younger spinner to try and grow with the team but the Bazball New batting style with new approaches is not mirrored by the bowling attack selections at the minute.
-
@Karl-Pick Yeah I agree, the prospect of Brook at 3 both excites me and worries me because if it works, the scoring rate could be phenomenal. Root's lack of runs at 3 really causes a problem as you could just shift everyone up 1 but Root has to stay at 4. I do feel though that it has been the bowling that has cost us this series so far and not the batting which is why the extra bowling option will be taken. Other than the odd occasion, the bowling attack has looked pretty toothless so far.
-
@Joe-Beeston HOPEFULLY that will not happen, his over aggressive style at 5 or 6 is just about manageable, but at 3, 1 wicket could turn into 2 very quickly with fresh bowlers and an early swinging ball. I know that's the way they play but I think No.3 in the batting line up should be a more solid dependable batter......Tavare...esq, think I would even rather see Woakes at 3 to be honest!
-
@stuart-wallace-0 I have heard rumours and seen some articles saying that Harry Brook is going to be moving to 3.
Crawley, Duckett, Brook, Root, Stokes, Bairstow, Ali, Woakes, Wood, Broad, Robinson.

Brilliant comment from Stokes re how he would have treated the Bairstow wicket - class man.
Totally agree, outstanding comments from Stokes (and I'm not English). In terms of 'spirit of the game' this is worse than a Mankad (and at least you need a warning 1st)
Cant dispute he is out by the rules, however do you want to win a fist fight by stabbing your opponent in the back with a knife after the bell when they have clearly stopped to return to their corner? Looks like the Aussies believe its win at all cost which is why they have been so successful over the years in all forms of sport, but that was too far today.
Cant even compare to the Starc catch as Duckett walked, and i reckon the umpires called it correctly. Just like American football, if you use the ground to gain an advantage, its not a catch, which he clearly did.Can only echo what others have been saying, cheers to all the pros for posting tips throughout the 5 days, that's another test match green. If only they were as frequent as football matches
