Minimum Lay bet on Betfair

Hi everyone, I googled: What is the minimum lay bet on Betfair?’ The minimum liability if laying is 30 dollars’
Surely that isn't right? Any thoughts ?

you can bet any amount using a trick, which is handy to know, if you want to bet less than £1 without using software.

Cheers Martin but isn't that backing? Excuse my dumb question. Its just I had READ someone (McBee) - a seasoned pundit on some site a few years ago had been caught out laying too little.( Fab site and info you have by the way.)
