@Paul-Sheridan if it's a calf strain it should'nt be anything too serious be surprised if he isn't back by start of season
-
@Martin I was considering chipping away at the Bengals price but then I saw a video from yesterday's training camp of Burrow getting carted off the field.
The guy has no luck. Think that's 4 times he's been injured or taken out of camp - Covid, knee injury, an appendectomy and now this.

@ryan to be fair he has come out and said he wants to be a Jet, guess he was waiting for his McAfee show appearance to do so, would have been better PR to have done it on Monday.
It’s all complete and utter b/s should have been announced a long time ago he was never going to retire in the same year as Brady and enter the HOF in the same year despite what he said.
He’s held the packers and jets to ransom and stopped them doing anything in free agency. To blame the Packers after what they have done for him is beyond a joke.
Aaron Rodgers is interested in one thing only and that is Aaron Rodgers.
The jets are a qb away from having an excellent team but this is not the answer.
If I was Garrett Wilson and Elijah Moore I’d be looking to be traded. Lazard already come in short odds on Randall Cobb to follow.

@chris-osborne agree I like the Packers and think they are doing the right thing getting rid if possible. People are acting like he is still a great QB but he regressed a lot last year as a passer, nothing suggests to me he is going to turn that around as a 40 year old. Brady is an exception not the rule!

@chris-osborne You and me both, surely it's time?
I can't believe Green Bay keep letting him take the p**s to honest.
This is getting ridiculous the new nfl year starts tomorrow, free agents can negotiate from yesterday and this idiot is still messing the Packers and Jets around by announcing nothing

@chris-osborne yeah a good deal the only problem is I'm not convinced about Fields, I'd take a QB and start over
I would to and move fields to rb but alot of players around the leage rate him highly.
if he shows nothing this season, they can move on next year, its a rebuild year for the Bears anyway
Yeah it's his throwing ability that worries me, like all running QBs, I guess we will see this season!

@chris-osborne 23 mill for a qb is nothing these days, backups can get over 10 mill so it's worth it as if he has a great year this year we would be on the hook for 50 mill.
Didnt think og it that way, good point Especially if you had to Franchise tag him.
Lamar Jackson's contract is going to reset the qb market although thats just a mess at the minute
Look at what Kyler got and he's got serious personality issues holding him back, it will be all about this season with Tua, if you draft a QB in 2024 23 mill for a backup will be doable, or trade him to someone wanting to take a chance on a relatively cheap starting QB.

For me, this is an excellent trade for the Bears giving Fields a legitimate WR1 which he's never had but also meaning they can get decent O Line help at 9 in the draft whilst stockpiling future picks. I still dont rate him at all but most current players think he's legit.
Panthers one of many teams that need a QB - CJ Stroud, Bryce Young and Will L:evis all legitimate day 1 starters - Anthony Richardson will need to sit or a year but could be the best of the lot. Personally I'd go for Stroud - Young did himself no favours not throwing at the combine last week.
-
@Martin I'm shocked at this must be driven by your lack of First round draft pick, this year's QB's in the draft could be immense - there are at least 3 day 1 starters. Mind you next years is supposed to be just as good.
Hopefully you pick up a decent back up in free agency next week or on day 2 of the draft
One more concussion and thats his career over - he also hasnt shown enough for me

@ryan-williams far too early to call as @ryan said until free agency and the draft have been completed.
The NFL off season is one of my favourite times of the year as long as Aaron Rodgers makes a decision soon that guy does my head in every year

Does anyone see any team being good value on the superbowl market? I only started watching NFL last season so caught the bug and am really interested in the sport.
Jags at 30 should be worth a couple of quid, should win that hapless division and if Lawrence continues improving they will be a contender.
