I seem to be getting quite a bit of variance between the fairbot selections compared to the results listed on the horse racing software, particularly on the Back the Favourite at the off. Could this just be down to variance in the uploaded tips as I generally set the tips up at 8-9am?

@paul-foster me neither, especially just running the one football strategy at the moment. As time goes on I may have to import the tips via CSV but for now this will do fine.

@david-milligan thats exactly how I do it. Unlike the horse strategies I just don't have enough selections to justify auto loading the full markets.

@paul-foster even simpler still is just select the over 1.5 markets that are involved in the strategy and load them manually from the tree. Only thing I have now altered is the staking on the bot.

@david-milligan yeah, the default filter would fire on any match that meets the criteria from the auto loaded matches, so pretty much all of them without a goal at 30-mins.

Adding "bet on imported selections/tips" in the Staking tab will address this. You don't need to add or change anything else.

@paul-foster That's the plan - I changed it because it was firing off on all sorts of things but I now think it's because I have all the football markets auto loading which is a bad idea. Thanks Paul

@david-milligan I have run it before with no issues. Not running it at the moment as I decided to focus on HR strategies, but I am running Tomaz 1.5.

Do you have any other 1.5 bots running?? If not, then I'd just remove and re-import the original file. It doesn't need any changes. If you have then I would still re-import and add the "Bet on imported selections".

I'm not sure what you;ve changed, or even why, but the easiest option is go back the the default as we know that works.

@paul-foster Hi Paul, can I ask if you are using the bot for the Split Stake strategy? For some reason my bot isn't firing on the selections - I have it set up to fire on my imported selections and have set the tipster name up as with my other strategies. The bot in the original post is designed to bet on runner 2 in the O1.5 market but i have removed this and added back o1.5 through my selections in the tree. Cannot for the life of me work out why it isn't firing!

Hey guys, relatively new to the forum and just sorted out my bots to sync up with the horse software( it took some time). Just wondering how easy it would be to enter some of the set and forget fooball strategys into my bot without manually doing it from the event tree in bfbm.. any help would be very welcoming as things like this take me some time to figure out

@Grahame-Billington there is a post in this forum which explains how to do this. You can export the selections from the football software chenge some columns and upload to "Manage Tips"

Personally I'm not keen as you have to load up the markets for the bot to trade. So, you could have all GB/IE horse races and each football market you're trading. The more you have the more that the bot is monitoring. Instead I use the Tree Navigation and select the relevant matches and them use the move "My S. to Manage Tips Form".

The bot is then just monitoring the strategies I'm looking to trade and not the whole market full of matches I'm not interested in.

Just starting out on my automation journey today, thanks for all the great info. Does anybody have or can link me to where I might find the bots for the current football preset strategies please.

    Cheers

@daniel-mills Thanks again Daniel. I'll give that a go and probably ask in the forum or ask BFBM themselves.

    Cheers

@james-menhenitt yeah thts a bit more fiddly.

Might be worth dropping a request in the BFBM forums, but I suspect you'll want two separate hedge or close position options set up and in one of them set up your market conditions to have 'football - match minute 11-21' and 'bet when score is 0-1 or 1-0'. Pic below is the settings panel you want to do this in.

The second hedge condition can then be set up for your green up trade.

Either way, best thing to do will be to set it up in sim mode and let it run for a couple of games to make sure it's running properly.

@david-milligan John's trades between odds at 2-3. Can't remember off hand but might be in the horse strats megathread if it's not in the member presets. I only asked because I think the file I uploaded was called 'John's pace lays' but it was actually set up for Martin's.

@daniel-mills Thanks Daniel; I'll take a look at the strategy. From memory it hedges on a goal, but I only want the hedge to happen if a goal is scored between minute 11 and 21 which is where I'm getting stuck.

Hi again all. I've looked at the split stake and yes, it will hedge at any time. My problem is I only want the hedge to happen up to 21 minutes. If it's still 0-0, I want the bet to run.

    Any ideas gratefully received.

@joseph-henderson Basically yes. There are a number of ways to do this automatically in a spreadsheet. This is one way: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yYD75X-0qxhiNatJXbkyJKJLbIXRzfwV9xmFez91_tE/edit?usp=sharing

The downfall is that changes sometimes take time to update as it uses the QUERY function in Google Sheets. There may be other ways of doing the same thing.

When running multiple horse strategies and the same horse is selected under more than one strategy, do you just need to make a copy of row on the csv file and change the provider to desired strategy prior to importing?

@joseph-henderson Sorry, meant pace lays but I think you understood which ones I meant.

if the odds ranges are the same you're good 👍
