@john-folan I agree, most times presidents get a second term as well.
I think you have a good point as well with trading what you want to happen instead of what will likely happen, I think this is highlighted more in a charged topic like politics.

Johnson ruined Corbyn tonight with the IRA stuff. Another few ticks. I am greened up and out on all my Tory stuff now.
The only thing I have left Inplay is now a Dutch of all prices for labour to get below 230 seats. I was lucky the odds worked out ok I could add in another tier. I’m scratch if they get more. It was hard work getting it all there but if it comes off I am buying the good Brandy.
Will have a look and see if there are some fun bets about for next week. If the countries going to hell we might as well make some money out of it. Swinson to lose seats is probably not a bad place to start.
I won’t be going near anything major next week as the polls have been useless since the 2015 election. Hopefully people have made a bit of money from these trades. Political trading is a bit of a hit potato as everyone has opinions and trading what you WANT to happen as opposed to what is likely to happen is quite easily done and a bit of a road to ruin.
Bloody good election and a superb year of political trading. Next year we have the US election. Hopefully another goldmine awaits. Trump to swerve impeachment(the US senate will never vote for it as mostly republican) and get another four years is what is most likely to happen.

Tory Majority in 12 ticks since yesterday.
Tories to get more than 340 seats in 25 ticks since yesterday.
Sweet as a nut

@john-folan Yep that was my move as well last night, Corbyn will 100% give another golden nugget 'If I get into power I will give free electric to every home' style line.
Or maybe something like 'If I get in I will pay you to use WIFI'
He’s being ruined today for lying about the Queens Speech. You can trust him as much as Johnson.
However, from a trading point of view he is gold. Shame all the prices are high on labour. It would be lay city.

Looking like a Tory majority next week. Get backing and take a few ticks. Get out a couple of days before or at least remove liabilty. That’s my last move now.
-
Literally no more movement today. Will assess the press in the morning. Favourite is still a Tory majority (2/1 on) and 340 seats plus(just below evens).
-
Got another 3 ticks on the 340 plus market and I’ve bailed. The Tory majority market hasn’t moved anymore so I bailed for a small profit. It’s actually started to come back in.
Twitter is awash with momentum battering Johnson but it appears to have done very little and more surprisingly that interview didn’t either.

Apologies if I upset anyone - it was all meant as banter and I can't stand the lot of the lying buggers but obviously some politicians have more comedy value
@Martin-Futter has tidied the thread and I have just gone through and got rid of anything left not trading related. Please continue to insult our political leaders and the Orange one on the Off Topic Thread. There is some gold floating around.
So in light of that I’ve greened everything apart from my labour sub 220 Dutch and I am ready to lay Tory prices tomorrow based on the fact Marr will be into Johnson in a big way. Expecting a few drifts. Tory majority and number of seats being the value lays.
Drifted already overnight about 6 ticks on each.

TBH no one has been attacked for who they support - only politicians got the brunt of the banter .... it's what they are paid for
I thought they were paid to run the country. However I think they are all useless. Literally every single one. In that I am not biased.

I'm going to clean this thread up a bit as it is a really good trading thread, as @John-Folan suggested in the OP let's keep our politics out of it and draw a line under any upset, it has obviously veered quite off track. The trading itself is what we are really interested in
Don't worry about it Martin. I'll just go back to never checking this thread. Will leave all the Trump fans to their casual everyday sexism and racism. So much for the Community in BTC. Sorry for bothering everyone...
Trump fans - Jesus Christ. Surely we can all agree he’s a c**k?!
You'd think, but you clearly haven't read much of this thread then!
No, I actually haven’t! Just here for the £’s!

@paul-keighley obviously racism and sexism is not acceptable on here, I'll try to keep more of an eye on this thread as that is not what we are about here at all.
@John-Folan did say no politics on here in the OP so let's carry on with that idea.
We all come from different backgrounds and opinions, but this isn't the place for all that, let's not turn into twitter!
We don't all have the views expressed here either, I can see why it comes across like that but BTC is a few hundred people, all voting very differently I imagine. As evidence of that, I'll either vote Labour or Green probably green, which goes polar opposite to most of the opinion in this thread.

Johnson and the conservatives will do well out of today’s incident. Corbyn will not. Expect price movement

That leaders debate is shocking.

Boris not scheduled to appear on Andrew Neil. He’s being baited online by momentum supporters. Will he care? I doubt it. Shrewd move. Nothing to gain and everything to lose.
Regardless of who you support, this is shocking by the BBC. They're meant to be impartial all of the time anyway, but especially during a General Election, when legally they have a requirement to be balanced. Releasing Corbyn's car crash of an interview before either having agreed a set in stone date for Johnson's interview, or even not releasing any before ALL of them were in the can is simply breathtaking incompetence at best, if you disregard their twice making "mistakes" in editing footage making Johnson look good in the last couple weeks alone....
BBC do not care. I can’t wait for them to lose the licence fee.
