When you have multiple strategies for the same horse, which one do you prefer?
The 15:08 at Newcastle today, has 3 selections for Back the C & D winners, which all qualify for lay at short odds. (On current odds, none qualify for the lay at short odds, and 2 qualify in the odds range for back C & D - so not a good example, but the situation does crop up regularly where they qualify for 2 strategies.

@martin I am new to the horse racing today and noticed in the email it stated that there were no pace lays but when I run the strategy it came up with about a dozen or more. which should I follow? The email or my results from running the strategy?

Hi - I've found that it's better to run the strategy yourself as the email doesn't always have all the selections.

    Same for me

    Good evening all,

Looking for some advice in layman’s terms going forward with my trading. Due to my current working and living situation, I trade only from my phone and set and forget strategies would work best for me due to varying finish times from work. I enjoy laying horses in play with no particular strategy other than trying to pick at horse at reasonably low odds that I think won’t win. This is great until I hit a loser and lose everything I have made. So far in just a few days as a member I have watched the initial videos from Ryan and the horse racing tutorials on the system from Adam. I have also been taking note of martins emails with selections from his strategies. Is anyone able to advise/help me with working out how to save others strategies so that I can see the qualifiers prior to Martins emails please? I struggle a little bit with the display on my iPhone and can’t work out how to do this. If anyone has any other advice with strategies fitting the set and forget criteria I would be very grateful. Open to advice/criticism as I am keen to learn but new to trading and lacking confidence in my ability.

    Thank you in advance.

Yeh still very profitable if you change the entry time.

I suppose it’s one to look at testing different options.

Don’t suppose there is a rule that allows you to ignore fav/second fav at point of entry rather than at the start? I.e 10 mins before race.

Adam will be adding it in. I’ve sent him a Asana with that suggested as it’s messed with other strategies too

Having spent a bit more time looking at the Lay the Beaten Favs strategy on the presets there looks to be a conflict within it (based on my understanding of the software). More than happy to be corrected if I’m not reading right.

The way I read it, the results are filtering out any horses that were favourite or second favourite at starting time. So if you enter 10 mins before, you won’t know who is fav/second fav at the start. Would someone mind checking to make sure I am not missing something silly?

The good news though is removing that rule from the filter, it’s still a very profitable strategy.

I will be looking to use it soon so just want to make sure I understand the logic behind it, hence the questions.

Nope that makes sense. Out of interest what happens if you change the entry point to say 10 seconds out?

@dan-mackinnon Thanks, if it is right though, and assuming this version is what gets emailed out everyday then suggest the instructions are amended as no suggestion that you need to avoid favs in the email

@andy-donnelly Hi Andy, this might be the version I messed about with. If so, you are correct.

But like you said, it's profitable either way. It's just that some bots give you the option to filter out favourites, etc.

Usually, you can see quite early on if the horse might come in to become favourite so it's up to you whether you want to trade it or not

@martin The version that is in the pre sets, just trying to work out what the rule is doing that lists favourite and second fav.

I may well be reading it incorrectly

@Martin Just looking at the lay the beaten fav strategy.

Can I confirm on the favs rule within it, is that intending to say only go for qualifiers that are not 1st or 2nd fav at time of entry?
