@matt-ayles Good one @Matt-Ayles , yes, i tend to steer clear of the 1.1 after about 12 overs of second innings, as generally, if a team falls to 1.1 then its game gone anyway. However, this one went to 1.1 in first innings, and, to me, thats always a time to lay with very few exceptions. Especially when you have a bowler like Boult about to drop the first over.

@geoff-hall this is why we execute this strategy, as it's such low risk. Even if it goes against you your liability will be small if you are sensible.
To be that price at the midway point it was worth a go, however i would have to be very sure of the batters/bowlers to enter right at the end of the second innings... if you have big 6 hitters in then often 1 maximum can swing your profit, but its about match reading.

@matt-ayles wasn't much risk but wasn't much hope either only thing someone said was that stars had good bowling line up...very relevant I would have agreed but market didn't think so ..........

This is great analysis. Thinking exactly the same thing... we're at a very attractive lay price but its not at all attractive in regards the match position.
Average BBL score here 170. Not even at 100, effectively 8 down. This is what i was talking about the other day as a potential trap game!
If I'm going to get involved at all it's going to be very low stakes.

i am always wary of Power Surge - seems to bring wickets more times than runs. I might see if i can find any analysis from last season
