    I have never traded cricket.
As someone who has just joined BTC I have been reading through the forums and everything on here.
I read the cricket thread at just the right time as people were discussing the opportunity to lay England and the pitch looked favourable for a long innings from Pakistan also.

I entered a small trade at just above evens and took my risk away at 3.1 and have fully greened up for a small profit at 5.

Just wanted to tip my hat as a thanks to the chaps on here that enlightened me to an advantageous trade that I would have otherwise not have got involved in. Thanks

@richard-futter a bit of low bounce though. What price for a chop on for the next wicket?

Must be soul destroying for seamers bowling on a surface like this. It's possible the sun will cause the pitch to break up on days 4 and 5, but I'm not convinced either side has a world class spinner capable of making serious inroads into the opposition batting.

Exit Eng lay at 3.65, although a very low draw lay is on the cards here.
I'll be very tempted to use some green if it gets down towards 1.1 or something as you never know with England... only thing is, Pakistan bat second and could bat for the next 3 days the way this pitch is playing.

nice quick WIN wickets, just dripped a bit more LTD - figured that windies will likely be 300 behind and put back into bat around or before tea tomorrow , no way will they survive.
letting my ENG lay run at moment with small green, will look to take out liability should PAK reach EOD with 2 wickets down

    England lay is on.

Still no entry in Aus game as think I've missed the opportunity there.

I'm liking the lay of England at anything around evens. Gotta figure the Pakistan batsmen, in home conditions, will make it a long, hard slog for England's rather thin looking bowling attack.

I’m always critical of Nathan Lyon no idea how he’s so good maybe 99% of his wickets come on day 5
Just never flights the ball it’s amazing
    Protecting his stats
    Go the West Indies

    Took some 1.42 aus
    Books looking real good

also undecided on my AUS WI book
semi thinking could be swings on wickets / mini partnerships
considering greening up and doing this for the top 5 batters if evidence

@stuart-wallace I entered ENG LAY 2.06 not even concerned at this stage I would absolutely lay again if half that 1.5-1.6 ish
May even lay more change of INNS as this is when market potentially drift swiftly especially if evidence the ball is no danger

    From the BBC...

'The close-of-play score of 506-4 the most runs any team has ever scored on the first day of a Test - and England only faced 75 overs. If they had been afforded the full 90, their scoring rate of 6.74 would have got them to 607.'

This is new trading territory !
