Bet Angel Automation Thread

@sean if you are looking to build something that can scalp, I built this last night that might be of interest. Basically its automation that uses signals to track the price movements.
Stable - Price remains the same for 1 second
Up - Price increases for 1 second
Down - Price decreases for 1 second
Steam - Price moves down for 3 seconds in a row
Drift - Price moves up for 3 seconds in a row
Vstable - Price remains the same for 5 seconds in a row
You can see it working in the guardian log. The number corresponds to the runner (which you choose in automation selection)
I am in the process of building the bet side of it, an example might be, if signals drift2 + drift3 are set and vstable1 is set, place a back bet on runner one. So its placing a bet based on the movements of all 3 runners. I am going to test that and then perhaps add in the pressure conditions.
Obviously early days and it might be a complete fail, but here is the monitor bot for you to look at and perhaps create some bets with - 0_1670338360410_Monitor Bot All Runners.baf

@luke-seddon are you talking about the ones on the BA Forum? Sorry I thought I hit the reply button on the football bot you made.
-
@sean just a heads up, I wouldn't use those bots as they are. I have used both, editted them a lot and even combined them and am convinced that the amount of money on each side on its own is a terrible indicator of where the price is going to go.
-
@luke-seddon That's awesome, thank you for sharing, I will give it a go!
-
@richard-morris I'm not sure, I wasn't looking to make one, I was just saying a scalping bot sounds like a great idea as the only ones I had seen on the BA forum weren't that good.
-
So I found these two topics on the bet angel forum -
Stable Scalping https://forum.betangel.com/viewtopic.php?t=11538
Scalping if Pressure has Built Guardian Automation Bot https://forum.betangel.com/viewtopic.php?t=19273The first monitors a price at various intervals over a minute and if it is stable places a bet. The second places a bet on either side depending if there is a lot of pressure on the other side.
Whilst I probably wouldn't use these individually, I like the idea of using these as conditions and am wondering for instance if the stable scalping could be used to green for profit after a large price move.
I am going to do some research and find out what the pros look out for when entering a scalp trade and then try to replicate those conditions in the bot. I think that a different bot will be needed depending on the scenario, but if I can get one to catch a price move in one scenario, that will be a win!

Hey all. So have created a bot based on Ryan's simple strategy in this video
Essentially the bot records the price 5 hours before the start of the match. It then records the price of each hour for the next 3 hours on the hour and if each time the price has fallen, it will place a back bet on the 3rd hour. This will then run and cash out 1 hour before the match for a profit or the stop loss may be hit (4 ticks above the original back bet price). I haven't tested it yet, but will do when I get home next week.

I've been looking into the historic relative stored value conditions, which I think would be perfect for horse racing. So for example to identify steamers and drifter trends by monitoring the price every minute and if the price has been trending for 3 mins in a direction, place a trade in. I like the idea of using shared values so if there has been a continual drop in price every minute for 3 minutes AND another runners price has increased every minute for 3 minutes, a bet can trigger. I'm pretty new to racing so don't know if it needs to be quicker like every 30 secs or if there needs to be more confirmations of price drops to confirm a trend so open to ideas. I was thinking of that bot being triggered and running 10 mins before the race up until the race start.
My other idea for a quick horse scalping bot is to place a bet if the price moves 4 or more ticks in 3 seconds AND the volume increases by 50%. I wonder if that is enough to catch a price move as it is about to happen?
@Sean or anyone, if you guys have any ideas of how you want the a bot to function, under what conditions, I will build it and post it here. I am happy to post others that I am building when I finish them as it would be good to get a group of us testing to see what works.

@sean said in Bet Angel Automation Thread:
Hey, sorry I wasn't very clear, I meant ones built that had conditions in it that look for specific things before activating, everything I've seen just jumps in at the current price on the markets it is added to no matter what.
Oh nice, yeah that would be good. That's a bit above my current skill level though, I need to research a bit more to be able to build ones that like.have you looked on the betangel forum sean? i think there are some scapling bots on there?

@sean Morning matey. I dont think there are any shared set and forget automations that just make profit whatever the market. The one I use is a servant which I have to click in pre off markets.
I was hoping to develop a bot that scalps top and bottom of odds ranges over a set period of time with the aim of being right more than wrong. It will get get caught in drifts, steams and manipulation but overall win. Its also sharable as people can adjust settings and markets. -
Only for DOBing and basic back or lay automation for S&F strategies. A scalping one would be cool, I've played with one previously that I saw on the BA forum, but wasn't a fully automated one, was more 'assisted scalping' as you had to monitor it, and you couldn't just add to all markets and let it run in the background.

Has anyone experimented with horse racing automatons?
I have adapted one for looking at pre off odds ranges. Thinking along the lines of scalping market pre off
