@nick-allan the answer to your issues is in that post. You are trading 7 strategies. Why so many? The other side was when you say if you stop then they win (fomo). Really just look at what is the best one out of that list. Work on making that strategy as good as you can get it, then repeat the process. Having too many strategies sounds like it is better but its not. Quality over Quantity. -17pts? This would scare anyone, you might be just starting trading so it doesn't look terrible with your bank, but say you have a full time bank that's a hefty looking sum of money down. Must surely be tweaks and strats to remove asap.

@richard-latimer basically been a bad month be quite happy when the World Cup starts and I can take a good look at everything
same im using the time to look at what im doing and changes i can make, its a great time to reflect and actually enjoying watching football without worrying if there is going to be a FHG, SHG etc

October continues to be difficult. How did everyone else do?
starting to turn as bit but not enough to cover a poor month, at its highest i was -17 im now about -11, but ive been ha;f staking some who have noe bloody recvovered can you believe it !!!
the more i look at it the more i think its variance not an issue overall, im trading 7 startegies and maybe thats too many and some need to go, but of course you do that and in then they start to win
-
@chris-osborne i'm trading everything i can. i went for over 2.5 goals strategy (frode's adapted), second half goal strategy (Gary's SHG), going for a late goal - any scoreline.
-
@steven-bright thank you' i'll write back to you soon!
-
You could probably go again in the Celtic v Shakhtar match. 1-1 after 59 minutes
-
Went for a SHG in the Celtic v Shakhtar match. 1-0 at HT
-
Going for a SHG in the Chelsea match. They are all over them

How many matches on average do you guys normally get each day? i've done around 15 matches altogether but i'm down £30 (doing matches since friday using the member profit filters). is this normal?
A lot of the games on the email list are for leagues at the end of there season Norway, Sweden etc are you filtering any out or trading everything you can?
-
@timothy-mo best thing to do then is start working on that strategy alone. Im trying not to sound big headed here, im recently just joined, but iv been profitable for a years now. You could copy my trades. This will give you a sense of how things work, how trades win/lose, how to stake (the basics), then in the background you should now focus on building your own strategy around the Late goals you said you want to do. Setup a filter, you can have a peak at the members ones, hand pick some of the more sensible stats criteria and apply it. If you private message me ill help you build it. Then a spreadsheet to track those games. As you accrue a good amount of data you can improve the strat over and over. Over time its impossible not to create a good profitable strategy doing it this way. Happy to help further.
-
@steven-bright I want to do late goals 60 mins plus in-play. i'm still a newbie in case you didn't know
-
I actually thought I had a horrendous month, but looking at my trades I'm only -0.5 points. A good week and I can hopefully pull that up to +2.5 points for the month

@martin said in The BTC Football Trading Thread:
@richard-latimer confused was it variance or an error on your part?
Both.......the variance compounded my misery in the error
-
@timothy-mo the question isn't the amount of games, more the quality. I take it you are just following whatever the filters through up? The best thing id recommend is to start a spreadsheet and start tracking these with either no money on them or min stakes. Otherwise you'll just feel like you have no scooby what is going on when big weekends volumes happen and lose, then you cannot understand why. If you start tracking the games and data then you can get a better picture. What kind of strategy is it you truly want to do long term?

@karl-pick
Whatever variable you have in 5V (% O1.5 or %SHG) is calculated for both teams. 5D is the difference between home and away teams.

@karl-pick I think 5D is whatever your 5th line on the filter is and the 'D' is the difference between the home and away teams.
Not 100% I have that right some if someone knows different please correct me.
Yes, so what is your 5th criteria down on your filter?
