Apertura and Clausura
-
I've noticed quite a lot of the summer leagues seem to have two the same named "Apertura and Clausura". I googled it and these seem to be where they split the season in two.
How do you guys handle these? I only bet on leagues where around 15 matches have been played and I am also avoiding the end of the season for some of my strategies.
But with this split season thing, does the BTC software treat them as two separate leagues or are they listed as a single one? Maybe I should just avoid leagues that do this entirely! Not sure?
Interested in your ideas...

Yes good for my team The Mighty Whites.

@martin said in Apertura and Clausura:
@john-dane probably true in the Premier League to be fair if we did it that way. Although Norwich would always be bottom of both
With the six week break for the World Cup that could be a real situation for a lot if the top leagues especially as some teams will have more players involved than others

I've found that when you compare the open and closed split tables in same season some teams seem to do quite well and finish near top in one section then are in bottom half the second section and vice versa.

@mrs-h-m-price it’s mainly the South American Leagues that do this,
I treat them separately but not sure what the football stats do. Soccer stats.com does the same but league descriptions inSouth America are all over the p,ace at times.
I haven’t analysed that closely but is there promotion/relegation between the two seasons?
