I'm laying England here at 3, this is a genuine gift as I see it, I can't see them chasing this down with Indias bowling attack, if they manage it i'll lose this money happily

may sound funny but i'll entertain a draw back when ENG two down for a swing
    especially if early two down

I've put in a lay at 3.9; quite happy with that. Even if England do pull it off, the top three look so fragile, that a profit is almost guaranteed.

England around 4 is a silly price considering there have only ever been 2 successful run chases over 350 in this country ever. It's coloured by those successful chases against NZ and of course they could do it, but I'd put it at about a one in ten chance realistically.

Reckon England will need to pull off the highest successful run chase in Test history to win this one. A lay of England as the reply begins will pay pretty good dividends IMO.

At 4.4 a lay is value, they chase it you just say fair play and move on to the next one but they will need the 10th highest chase in history at least.

@matt-ayles 418 by the West Indies against Australia in 2003. Looks academic now with India's rather careless batting this morning.

    TEST IND ENG
what price INDIA if have 450 run lead
i still have a IND lay running for now assess next 20 overs

    couple things eye on
if india put them self in a position where they start throw the bat for quick runs and an impending declaration looms
i'll be jumping on a massive back of ENG and when declaration happens watch the green rise as people remove all there lay bets and a true market kicks in for the chase
and judge that trade from there

also if Englands top order fail even root and IND hit that 1.10 range i'll be auto laying for 10-20 tick swing and assess

Good stuff Nathan - great point about throwing the bat.

tell you what, after trading for almost a year, Cricket is the market to be - so much liquidity, and so much opportunity, its an easier market than , say, football.

Thats interesting, I've not really tracked what can happen in cricket trading especially test matches until the last couple of weeks messed up the England Women's match - weather caught me out but all good its definitely something I'll look at more not so much trading but following the markets but I can definitely see the potential.

@stuart-wallace yeah that makes sense. I think it’s hard to explain cricket trading to non-cricket fans because the outcome can be so unpredictable and the market reflects that.

I know what you mean about aggressive trading. I started with £100 bank and was risking 6pts to win 2 but it works for me. If it works for you and you’re comfortable with it then crack on and good luck!

I dont have a strategy per se. Simply look at markets and see what i think is going to happen with my cricket experience. i know it sounds a bit hit and miss, but anybody who 'knows' cricket will know what im talking about
