Exactly the same outcome as the last 2 matches... SL have opted to bat.
Currently I am going to do nothing...
-
@kaspars-eksteins i'll be keeping eye on it will post trades if fire
-
@kaspars-eksteins Pakistan have chased both times so far, done so easily, and have taken early wickets. All those stats point towards Pakistans price dropping if they bowl first.
However Pakistans top order have been questionable at best.
My thoughts here are, wait for the toss. If Pakistan bowl first there's probably no value in the lay, but if they bat first there's a realistic chance of early wickets before Maroof comes in, and then you could either lay them, or wait until the top order has collapsed and back them at a better value price when Maroof/Naseem or Dar come in.

Are you gonna lay PAK W at lower odds to Cash in 10+ ticks today?
-
A tied T20?! Unbelievable!

Yes, little rain as far as i can see.
Seems like a given LTD myself. Gonna close out my small Back loss and Lay the eff out the draw. I will be able to monitor the game tomorrow so will be able to trade it.
4 down, 100 behind, a whole 5th day they have to bat - cant see it meself.i was right, ( for a change!)
-
Boom, this game managed to resurrect my trading week, which had been almost apocalyptic so far !
-
2 days ago I'd pretty much written it off as poor trading and made notes about what to avoid next time.
Now at the close i managed to green up.
So lesson is, don't do what you did day 1, but what you did day 4 was gold! Lol.
I really need to take emotion out of tests... I've cracked it on the T20s (trading wise - still love to watch it, IPL today is gonna be ace)... but tests always get me sweating.
Hopefully can learn from this before NZ test next week.

Looks done now

Man how cool be if SRI need 60 to win off 20 overs example
This is what I was thinking, these boys are going to dig in hard now and try to bat as long as possible, shame no pictures as this could be a big play but can’t reenter on guess work so taking my bit and will check in later

@tom-david-1 mate I was working when threw in a low lay 1.2’s took back most 1.6 squared at the break .. seems to be always a suss time post breaks for batters and this scenario a wicket would mean ass
Nice timing

Closed my draw lay, laying SL now at 1.4
Greening this up at 2.2, think there’s more to be bad here but don’t have much time to monitor today
Wow, talk about timing

1.2 - 2.0 SRI nothing like working and earning
not that go the full extent of that swing
TESTS ARE BEST no matter who plays who -
@stuart-wallace some word around rain 1-2pm ish from a source on twatter
Read what ya like into that it’s just a word
But perhaps the market is recognising this
This guy did say on day 1 that day 3 was bad
So
See what plays out
BANG two best batters at the crease to
Can they dig in like first INNS
We see -
Paul Stirling goes 6 6 6 6 6 ....... 4 lol. Gutted but an unbelievable over.
Match reduced to 16 overs a side and Bears on 161 after just 13 overs!
-
@stuart-wallace yes it does, but the swings in T20 are crazy.
If i am worried that a team will dominate from ball 1 I tend to back them and look to lay again around 15-20 ticks lower to generate a "free bet" on them.
I've done that on the sussex game, its all matched up with 1 point green on sussex and scratch on glamorgan. That way if it looks a close game you can green up both sides for a half point or let it run at no risk.I have used this throughout the IPL and with only 2 matches left I have only experienced total domination twice.
-
Match delayed by rain at Birmingham ...might give advantage to Northants ...i've laid Birmingham at 1.4

@stuart-wallace yes all the domestic short format leagues are on my trading calendar.
My strategy is fairly simple, lay the fav pre match then place a lay on the outsider at around 20-30 ticks lower than their opening price.
E.g. if you lay the fav at 1.6 opening show, you can lay the underdog around 2.1 or 2.2 and take a small profit.
It's not a big earner in the short term but over the course of an entire competition is excellent. Its low risk in the sense you're often in the market for a short time so less exposed.
This middlesex game i laid Gloucester at 1.8 then middlesex at 1.95. That greened up after 2 balls. Now I'm done, onto the next.
Matt, forgive my ignorance, but isnt this strat depending on the dog coming in every time? -what do you do if it goes the other way?
